Sen. Chambliss considers it the duty of the president to break the law
Response to a constituent asking his opinion on the wiretapping issue:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the National Security
Agency's (NSA) monitoring of conversations connected to terrorist activity.
I appreciate hearing from you.

The President has publicly discussed certain activities of the NSA
that he authorized in the weeks following the September 11, 2001 terrorist
attacks on our nation. As described by the President, the NSA intercepts
certain international communications into and out of the United States of
persons linked to terrorist organizations such as al Qaeda and its affiliated
groups. The President has said that the purpose of the Presidential directive
is to prevent another catastrophic attack on our country.

As the 9/11 Commission pointed out, two of the terrorist hijackers
who attacked the Pentagon, Nawaf al Hamzi and Khalid al Mihdhar, were
communicating with other members of al Qaeda overseas while they were in
the United States preparing for their deadly attack. Regrettably, we did not
know this until it was too late. The President's actions attempt to address
weaknesses in our early warning system, making it more likely that
terrorists, like the 9/11 hijackers, will be identified and located in time to
prevent another disaster.

As a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, I am
aware that Administration briefings of this type are limited to a very few,
and that Congressional leaders from both parties were briefed on several
occasions.

The world changed on September 11, 2001, demonstrating that it is
vitally important that the President of the United States must have the power
and authority to act on information to protect the American people from
future acts of terrorism by al-Qaeda and terrorists who target the United
States.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me. As always, I
appreciate hearing from you. In the meantime, if you would like to receive
timely e-mail alerts regarding the latest congressional actions and my
weekly e-newsletter, please sign up via my web site at:
www.chambliss.senate.gov.

Sincerely,

Saxby Chambliss
United States Senate

1. What an ignoramus he is

The President has publicly discussed certain activities of the NSA
that he authorized in the weeks following the September 11, 2001 terrorist
attacks on our nation.

He's a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and he still doesn't know that Bush ordered the illegal surveillance long before 9/11. And they call this leadership?

5. He was elected by Diebold after swiftboating Max Cleland.
He DOESN'T care how many lies he spews or how much Bush-Cheney, violates the constitution. He's no leader. He's a chickenhawk foot soldier in B-C's war on the constitution and the Ammerican people. :(

2. I guess he didn't get the letter that the spying started before 9-11.
Funny how the repubs are the only ones who didn't get the letter.

3. Saxby "Sack of Shit" Chambliss: the man who smeared Max Cleland
and who is a supreme asshat and chickenhawk, couldn't care less about the law or the safety of the American people. As regards the protecting and defending the Constitution, he is busy violating it in every way he can.

:grr: I am ashamed that he represents the great State of Georgia.

I miss the likes of Max Cleland, Wyche Fowler and Sam Nunn.

9. Hey CB, how's it going?
I went to high school with someone who eventually went to work for Sam Nunn. What are Nunn and Fowler doing these days, do you know? I'm woefully out of the loop in a lot of ways - too far away!

Do you think Cleland will ever run again? I always admired Cleland and hate what Sack'o'shit Chambliss did to him.

12. I don't think he'll run again
I have no idea what Nunn and Fowler are doing these days.

:hi: I'm doing well!
How are you? What's happening in England these days?
It's raining here and not too cold. I'm about to go take care of Cotton in a few minutes.

Peace CB :)

11. You'll never get a straight answer from Chambliss,
or much of an answer at all. I sent him a scorching e-mail about something last year and got the basic "thanks for writing" form letter back. I followed up by saying "did you even bother to read my first message?", which was followed by another non-response. And so it went for another couple of rounds.

8. People like this make me wish...
for simpler times....
like when we'd put corrupt politicians
in stocks in a public sqaure and throw
rotten fruit at their heads.

Ahhhh..... those were the days.
