Just got another Zogby poll, theme was abortion, the questions
Hmm, I felt like the responses were push polling:

Which of the following best describes your position on abortion?
(Choose one)

You favor abortion; a woman has the right to choose in all situations
You favor abortion, except you oppose government financing of abortions
You oppose abortion, except in cases of rape and incest and to save the life of the mother
You oppose abortion, except when the mother's life is in danger
You oppose abortion in all instances
Not sure

Which of the following statements, A, B or C, come closest to your own view?

Statement A says that you oppose late-term abortion, except that it should be permitted if a doctor determines that the mother's life is in danger.

Statement B says that you oppose late-term abortion, unless a doctor determines that there is a risk to the health of the mother.

Statement C says that you oppose late-term abortion in all circumstances.

Statement A
Statement B
Statement C
None
Not sure

Which of the following two statements about abortion comes closer to your own view - A or B?

Statement A. Abortion destroys a human life and is manslaughter.

Statement B. Abortion does not destroy a life and is not manslaughter.

Statement A
Statement B
Not sure

Again, which of the following two statements comes closer to your own view - A or B?

Statement A. Parents are responsible for the the welfare and health of their children. A parent should be notified if their minor daughter is seeking to have an abortion.

Statement B. There are lots of reasons why a minor might not want to tell her parents that she is seeking an abortion. There should be no mandatory parental notification for a minor seeking an abortion.

Statement A
Statement B
Not sure

1. There weren't enough options, too many assumptions in choices.
They definetly limited their answers to conflicting choices, and ones that are not mutually exculsive. But I answered the best I could.

2. I have noticed a LOT more LTTE's on ABORTION in my local papers.
Even a nearby republican state rep.

They're revving up the wedge issues for '06. If the Dems win on a filibuster, the repigs can say that we defeated his nomination because we want to kill babies.

This is entirely an organized action, they've practiced this for years.

I'm sure this poll is a result of someone's campaign. It would be easy to twist the results of that poll just because of the way they worded it.

Same old strategy, every year.....
