Whare are my Democratic PRIMAL SCREAMERS!!??
Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 08:08 PM by PretzelWarrior
From John Kerry: "We couldn't have done it without you."

From John Edwards: "Thanks for your continued support."

From Bill Clinton: "I've made my place in history, made my money, made it with every girl in Westchester....now it's time to say thanks and play nice with Republicans."

I am sick to death of the ZERO FUCKING TRACTION these current Democrats have on any issue. I am not kidding. Can you believe all the hand delivered crap the GOP is giving to our leadership? What do they do? Keep their powder dry. They keep sayin....uhm..."we're playing not to lose." That way, when we get punked in 2006 we can say, "Gosh durn we were close this time. We almost took the Senate back. Yes, we lost ground in the H of R, but we feel good about Hillary Clinton /Joe Lieberman ticket. Trust us. We know what we're doing."

FUCK THAT SHIT. I WANT SOME UNHINGED FUCKING CRAZY DEMAGOGUES. I want people writing articles about how batshit crazy our leaders are with anger. I want them to say, "bipartisanship is date rape and we're going to fucking stonewall everything Bush throws at us and while we're at it...we're going en masse to Air AMerica Radio, The Nation, and other progressive outlets who will actually listen to us.

No interviews from NBC or MSNBC or CNN. NO interviews from NY Times or anyone. If you want anything you're going to get HUGE, UGLY-ASS OP-ED pieces from our alienated minority leaderhip as they castigate the status quo and SHAKE AMERICANS OUT OF THEIR STOCKHOLM SYNDROME.

Some Post dotcom bust/Y2k/911 weird psyche has taken over the American body politic and the hyenas are cleaning up while we are in our stupor.

HEY FUCKING DNC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOu are not getting another red cent out of Pretzelwarrior until you string together something that resembles a vision/mission/strategy.

Otherwise, I consider you a less malignant part of the BORG and you get nothing from me. I'll pull the lever in 2006 but THAT IS IT till I see results.

1. I'm with you, if only for the reason
that appeasment and conservatism and trying to play nice with junkyard dogs doesn't work, and we know that because the weenies controlling the party have lost all three branches of government and managed to send this country and all the people who live here straight into the serious risk of another great depression, all in the name of tax cuts for billionaires that dropped a few crumbs onto their tables, too.

I'm sick to death of these party conservatives, and think they need to be pushed over onto the sidelines where they can be consulted every once in a blue moon with the proviso that yes, their advice will probably be ignored.

I'm not even sure I'll bother pulling that lever in 2006. I refuse to participate in my own financial destruction, and a DLC endorsement will be the kiss of death for any candidate.

23. Not to single you or the author of this board out
But I read LOTS of bitching about our leadership at DU and wonder why more people aren't using their 1st Amendment rights to assemble and present grievances against tyranny publically. I mean why not organize a protest when one with less than 20 people made the news last week?

2. I have a candidate for you (sort of)..
I don't think he qualifies as an "UNHINGED FUCKING CRAZY DEMAGOGUE", but he certainly doesn't pull any punches.

"Ohio’s Republican leader wants Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Paul Hackett to apologize for calling some conservative Republicans religious fanatics and comparing them to terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden.

Hackett was unapologetic Tuesday for the comments in a newspaper story, saying religious fanatics of any flavor should be ashamed.

“I said it. I meant it. I stand behind it,” he said."

http://www.hackettforohio.com/newsroom/89/senate-candidate-unapologetic-for-saying-gop-hijacked-by-fanatics

AND

"It’s August 2, Election Day, and the lanky, blond, 43-year-old Marine has taken up position outside the polling place in Loveland, a burg on the outskirts of Cincinnati, flashing his toothy smile for the early risers. Hackett is dressed smartly in a blue shirt and striped pastel tie. His khaki pants hang loosely from his wiry, 180-pound frame.

“That’s low politics, punk!” a heavy-set man sneers as he marches toward the poll.
Hackett wheels around. “Pardon me?”
“You know, that radio ad that says, ‘You don’t know Schmidt.’” He’s talking about one of Hackett’s attack ads against Republican Jean Schmidt. The man spews a stream of epithets, and Hackett lets out a crybaby whimper: “Waaaaaaa!”
“What’s that, punk?” the big man growls.

A TV crew is setting up nearby, but Hackett doesn’t seem to care. “What’s your fuckin’ problem?” the candidate snaps. “You got something to say to me? Bring it on!” Hackett, all 6 feet 2 inches of him, is nose to nose with the heckler. “Problem?” he taunts. The man turns around and storms away."

I like this guy (I even get to vote for him).

5. I love it too. Look at the bitch that squeaked into congress
instead of him. That ugly mean spirited woman who attacked Murtha, Jean Shit.

I hope for all kinds of folks from Iraq to come back and sweep into power. I hope.

11. Hadn't heard about that Aug 2 confrontation; a good brawl is good for the
senses now and again: the mud, and blood, and beer two-step.

3. Wrong party, dude.
"FUCK THAT SHIT. I WANT SOME UNHINGED FUCKING CRAZY DEMAGOGUES."

DEM stands for Democratic, not the UNHINGED FUCKING CRAZY DEMAGOGUES party.

7. Then we lose. Every time.
Sometimes, the good guys gotta stand up and take a swing at the bad guys and knock them out. THey gotta get down in the gutter and clean the land of the refuse.

Ever see Shane? Where is OUR GUY who takes one for the team so peace and goodness can prosper.

SHANE! COME BACK!

13. Meaning what?
demagogue (American Heritage Dictionary, Second College Edition):

n. 1. A leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace.

I don't want to build a mirror image of the Republican machine. Screw the prejudicial nature of this approach. I want a movement founded on the TRUTH, not some "UNHINGED FUCKING CRAZY DEMAGOGUES."

Thanks for listening.

14. good luck with that. not too sure the "rational" approach works anymore
have you been paying attention? The ones who are winning are the ones who are appealing to anti intellectual emotive reactions. They just keep doing it time and again.

I'm starting to believe the only reason DEMS had 8 years of progress was because of a slightly odd little billionaire who bought 30 minute infomercial political ads.

15. Yeah. I've been paying attention.
I'm just not going to ever hitch my wagon to a bunch of UNHINGED FUCKING CRAZY DEMAGOGUES. That's my point. Yes, we must stand up for ourselves. Yes, we must fight back. No question. But not from a foundation based on demagoguery.

4. I agree..
... I quit reading the emails a couple months ago. They are all the same "we're gonna get 'em, we're gonna get 'em".

Note to letter writers: some results would be good. This is the most corrupt administration, the most failed-on-every-front administration in modern history, and what are you guys doing about it? Other than Dean and Hackett, with occasional lapses from various others, nothing. Not a god damned thing.

I will say that at least one NE liberal senator seems to be finding his sea legs. But we need more, lots more.

10. yes. that is true. I want a dude in a suit that is elected
going apeshit on TV. Just shake these pitiful "JOURNALISTS" to their very core. Go crazy with the high spun rhetoric. Say, WE'RE FED UP and we're not taking it.

Use every arcane procedure in the rules to shut down Senate and House at regular intervals to recast the debate where it should be. FAILED FOREIGN POLICY. SCANDAL. LOSS OF CIVIL LIBERTIES. BUSH LYING AND BREAKING LAWS!!!

or go freaking NUTS on them....then I choose nuts. At least it will have the slight ILLUSION our elected leaders spout something that hasn't been tested and reworked by focus groups and publicists.

12. Give Bill Clinton a candidate who won't.....
......keep him in the closet like Gore did in 2000, and you will see the smoothest, primal-screamin' politician in history.

He makes nice as a former president..but in campaign mode?.....He'll kick ass if given the chance. And PLEASE don't think, or leave the impression that you think, that President Clinton was the FIRST to get power-crazed when women looked his way....or that he was the FIRST to get oral sex in the oval. I'm not sure that Reagan didn't get it from Ann Coulter....lol

many senators in moderate states are in for a wakeup call if they put this robotic misognynist on the court. I will keep my ears open and eyes alert.
