5. Thanks, Wilms.
I see a lot of people are reading it. I can hardly wait to read the hate mail it generates.

I'll guess there will be a lot of indignant HOW DARE YOU COMPARE BUSH TO OSAMA?!!

6. I feel comfortable God isn't talking to either of them.
They're both listening to the delusions they have grown all by themselves.

9. Thanks for the kick, Viva_La_Revolution
On average, there are 50-100 readers of the cartoon at DU for every person who posts on the thread. Kicking it up keeps new readers reading it. I appreciate it.

31. I haven't updated my comic in a LONG time.
My computer died and I lost writing inspiration. The url is http://stickmanltd.comicgenesis.com/ if you wanna check it out. :)
I was thinking about starting a comic with actual cartoonish characters rather than stick figures, but I've had writer's block ever since I stopped doing my stickman comic and nothing's coming to me.

12. Hey, here's a review of Neil Lisst cartoon by a cartoonist!
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 05:21 AM by Neil Lisst
I had a pleasant surprise when I checked on the web comics nation main site just now. There's a review of the Neil Lisst political cartoon by a fellow cartoonist, a non-politico from Toronto who does a cartoon called Elvenbaath.

Months ago he and I visited briefly on a cartoonist message board.

The review is here if you want to read it:
http://www.webcomicsnation.com
However, you may have trouble finding it because it rotates on the "recommended reading" with 3 other cartoons, so here's the text:

I find comics about politics tedious and boring. I find them lacking in the humour department, which is the entire point to political satire, in my view. Then I found Neil Lisst. Oh thank heavens I found Neil Lisst.
To say the art of political cartoons is dead is a lie. To say they're all unfunny is wrong. For me to tell you that political cartoons have no place on the internet is false. This comic proved that to me. From Darth Cheney, to Obi-Wan Murtha. Giant floppy eared President Bush. New Orleans to Valerie Prime. Political Jeopardy to Survivor: Washington. Neil Lisst has not only proven to be a comedic genius in the writing department, complimented well by the art of Rempel, but it's also the name of an actually funny Political Cartoon. Note: It's the only one I can read and actually come back to a second time....and a third....fourth....and now I'm writing a review. Usually in color, unless the satire of the strip is a stab at racism, Neil Lisst is a colorful world, vibrant in its details, but not too distracting; The focus is the writing. Stay tuned to your CNN, Fox News, and what-have-you...because the strip is usually quite accurate to the time you're living. Neil will hit above and below the belt. He takes no prisoners...and he does it with excellent taste, while delivering to you exactly what you're thinking. Refer to his New Orleans disaster set of strips. If you're a person who reads the newspaper, reads the news websites, watches the news on TV, or is just privvy to the news via molecular transmission of radiowaves into your brain...this is the comic for you. Even if it's not, read it. Darth Cheney demands it.

Tom Fraser is the Canadian who wrote the review. If you like fantasy comics, his is found here:
http://www.webcomicsnation.com/tdotodot2k/elvenbaath/series.php

The web comics nation website hosts over 400 cartoons, and both of our cartoons are hosted there. Neil Lisst is one of only a handful of political cartoons there. There's one I like there called Hutch Owens. Most of other genres are typically fantasy or slice of life.

Elvenbaath is one of the top comics at web comics nation, btw. Neil Lisst is the all-time leader at the site, with over a half million page views and climbing. We should hit a million by May.

We are reaching out to people across the world, and I'm gratified to know our political message is reaching many people in other lands. I want them to know we Americans don't all act and talk like George uh .. er .. Bush.

26. Ain't that the truth!
When this country was created, the patriots who fought for us would have been called TERRORISTS by the King George III, who was only slightly less MAD than this King George.

Of course, Osama is not on a par with our founding patriots, but both Bush and Osama believe it is their god-given right to kill and vilify those who disagree with their narrow, religious based beliefs.

One simply has more weapons, more media, and more power to effect his madness.

27. Today's cartoon - God & Man - is already the most popular of 2006
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 05:33 PM by Neil Lisst
Just thought I'd thank each of you at DU who helped make it so.

With 1/3 of the day to go, it's already gotten more traffic that our previous high for 2006.

Wait until you see tomorrow's cartoon. I wrote it today and we hustled it into production to get it done. It's about the trashing the Constitution is taking under Bush.

They do not respect the constitution or the role of dissent in this country.

Reminds me of Germany in the mid to late 1920s.
