Let me count the ways the War on Terra/Osama serve the GOP purpose!
And they, the GOP will use these tools over and over again! It is the GOP Trump Card to be used until it stops working (which will be NEVER--Thank Yee Media!)

The Bin Laden Tape and the renewed Fever pitch "fear mongering" are currently serving many purpose in favor of Republicans. Remember that the last time we heard Bin Laden was on October 31st 2004....a week before our Presidential election!

The purposes this time:
1. To push the renewal of the Patriot Act.
2. To remind the public that there has not been any Terrorists attacks in the US since 9/11 so Bush is doing a swell job. (Never mind that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch)
3. To confuse and justify the issue of Bush's illegal wiretapping. Hell, we are "in danger" and need the chimp to protect us the best way he can! :sarcasm: bought and sold to us by our corporate media.
4. To detract from Republican ethical scandals (abramoff)
5. To help us forget about Hurricane Katrina Debacle
6. To increase the approval rating of the Chimp, which would help the GOP congressional races.
7. To help defuse the noise of "get out of Iraq" that was beginning to resonate with the general public....and morph Iraq into the War on Terra Mix once again.
8. To justify an aggresive stance against Iran.

Meanwhile, the media is pushing Hillary (someone many love to hate) and/or M. Warner (who has no national defense experience at all)as the presidential contenters for us Democrats for 2008.

The American People are being set up again......and our corporate media are nowhere to be found with the real truth, while they push the WH lies. Their motto truly is "never mind the truth"....

My biggest fear is not terrorism, but the fact that the general public will never see through this manipulation in great enough numbers to render the GOP's strategy of propaganda ineffective.

1. You are doing a good job of showing that the only group that
"wins" by OBL's actions is the Bush administration. Please America, relate these things. Realize that massive fraud has been committed against the American people, as well the those of the rest of the world. Only enlightenment, in some form, can lead us out of this nightmare to the Planet.

2. Because the Corporate media is in on the "lies"....I don't have much
Hope anymore.

The media lulls us into thinking that they are doing their job for a minute or two...and then they come in with the orchestrated propaganda.

The Corporate media is not to be trusted about anything....not a damn single thing anytime! We should never forget this!

Watching the Kansas BS Address as I write....I know that Hope is fading every moment of every day. :(

3. You are right about what you are saying.
But, I believe there are certain underlying, natural types of information common to all that at some point in time, when things continue to deteriorate will emerge as more informative and impressive that the crap that we view in the media. Then, and perhaps, only then, will enough Americans wake up to the fact that they are being massively scammed. Exactly what they could do about it, I don't know.

4. I hope what you are saying will be so, for all of our sakes.....
However....after 5 years of nightmarish hell and manipulation over and over again, I am not quite as optomistic.

5. I didn't elaborate on what those "natural" things might be.
Unfortunately, they might be forms of human misery far worse than what we are now experiencing. Even if wise and ethical leaders were to suddenly take over the U.S. Govt., it would take twenty years to correct the damage that has already been done and in some cases, such as environmental, full recovery will be impossible.

Current, the govt. is being run by people who are deriving their thoughts for sources that are subjective to the point of totally ignoring the Natural order. In other words, they are fabricating life principles rather than deducting them from object observation. That is a recipe for disaster for any species.

6. The wise men on the tee vee said that this was the roll out of the GOP's
campaign strategy for 2006. They said the GOP was going to run on their strong suit: keeping us safe from terra.

They did not notice how odd it was that Osama showed up on cue for the roll out.

They did not mention how contradictory it is that after unprecedented presidential power, both given and taken, after invading 2 countries, after torture, rendition and billions of dollars, they have not even succeeded in catching Mr. dead-or-alive Bin Laden.

Sounds like a total failure to me.
