How did CNN come up with such low poll numbers opposing Alito when...

so many, including Republicans, oppose Alito?

Hispanic Leaders Speak out Against Alito

January 19, 2006

Several leaders of Hispanic organizations expressed opposition Thursday to the likely Senate confirmation of Samuel Alito as a Supreme Court justice, predicting his accession to the bench would erode civil rights and advances made by Hispanics in the United States.

John Nichols: GOP moderates right to oppose Alito
By John Nichols

Snip...

Republican Majority for Choice is the largest pro-choice group in the Republican Party and has more influence than most moderate groups with GOP senators. In addition to Specter, three other Republican senators Rhode Island's Lincoln Chafee, and Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine serve on the Republican Majority for Choice advisory council. The question now is whether those senators were paying as close attention to Alito's testimony as the group they advise.

And CNN:

Poll: Alito should sit on high court
Supreme Court nominee expected to win panel support Tuesday

Monday, January 23, 2006; Posted: 9:16 p.m. EST (02:16 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A majority of Americans said the Senate should confirm federal appellate judge Samuel Alito's nomination to the Supreme Court, with just 30 percent opposing his confirmation, according to a poll released Monday.

Only 38 percent of respondents said they think a filibuster by Democratic senators would be justified, and about a third said they believe Alito would vote to overturn the 1973 Supreme Court decision that struck down state laws against abortion.

The CNN/USA Today/Gallup survey of 1,006 U.S. adults was conducted Friday through Sunday and had a sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

1. Do you trust any CNN poll? When they don't get the numbers
they like they just ignore them. I don't bother with them anymore for that very reason. I think maybe a lot of people are the same way.

5. Morons aren't paying attention
and that's who pollsters seem to consult on these matters. People just don't know how bad that sack of shit is because the evening news is not telling them.

This poll shows that only 30% are paying attention beyond sitting in a chair for the nightly propaganda hour. This poll shows that nightly television news is an exercise in disinformation and lying by omission. This poll shows that all stations that televise the nightly news and use that time to prove to the FCC that they're acting in the public's interest are breaking the law and need to have their broadcast licenses revoked.

This poll shows that we need an organized boycott of televised news.

6. CNN has NO credibility!
They are just another bunch of media mouthpieces for the administration like the rest of the MSM. Don't watch, don't listen, don't give them any support. I refuse to play anymore in their stupid little game, I want my Country back & by God I will get it back soon.

7. I agree with this poll...
I haven't seen any indication that many Americans oppose Alito. Does anyone else have evidence that I'm not aware of?
