Only one day? What happened to the big bad W vs. the Law campaign?
Edited on Tue Jan-24-06 01:06 PM by underpants
Just yesterday we saw Dan "the pinhead" Bartlett prepping the press for this big bad campaign then we have Gen.Fudd over at the NSA telling us that in his professional opinion he had done nothing wrong then we had W in his royal purple telling us how it was a "Terrorist Surveillance Program" and it was, in his informed impartial opinion, legal.

Now today we get nothing??? Only Alberto Gonzales, the Attorney General of the United States of America, telling us that he has been told that it was all perfectly legal.

Come on! Where is the tireless lying machine that we are so used to. Hell McLellan hasn't even given a press conference for the last two days as far as I can tell.

That was it? One day? Are they in full focus group mode now? I mean I think everyone was surprised at how quickly they could get a whole Social Security reform style non-election campaign going from scratch, with no advance knowledge of the OBL tape that came out 5 days ago and all.

Are they getting soft? Is the finite pool of trustworthy toadies stretched too thin?

When do we get Laura's ever useful and insightful input?

One day?

5. Scandals blossom in the spring
NSA spying
Plamegate
Abramoff
Delay
Enron

This is going to be interesting to watch the "one thing at a time keep it simple stupid" crowd trying to handle all that at once.

4. Condi will be next with her Iran 'Tokyo Rose' propaganda and then
after five days of hard flapping, Rumsfeld will get the floor and tell the American people, that if it hadn't been for junior and his thoughtful insight abut using NSA, the death count would have been higher.

6. Could it have been worse? Sure it could have
Did the President personally save lives? We don't know but it seems to me that he did

Is there any limit to the questions I will ask myself in a news conference? All signs point to no

General Pace?

I completely agree

Is that out of the norm? (looks at Pace) I don't think so but then I don't know....

8. HA!
They would have to start a whole other campaign to justify spying to cover their spying.
