Santorum, Facing Tough Re-election Battle, Moves Away From Bush
Jan. 24 (Bloomberg) -- ... Melanie Sloan, a former federal prosecutor who is now executive director of the Washington-based watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said Santorum was ``an integral party of the K Street project,'' along with former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas.

As recently as a year ago, Santorum touted his role in the effort. In a Feb. 2 interview with Bloomberg News, he said he got involved in the meetings with lobbyists ``early on'' because he noticed that Democratic lobbyists working with corporate officials would steer their campaign donations to his Democratic opponents.

Santorum said then that the K Street project was designed to ensure lobbying firms knew of eligible Republicans who could apply for openings. ``I think we've been successful in getting the right people and slotting them in the right places,'' he said.

Last week, Santorum said that his role was just to meet with lobbyists regularly to discuss the Senate agenda. The work ``has not been about putting pressure on people to hire individuals,'' he said ...

3. We need to throw a snowball down the hill
We need to start talking incessantly about what a scumbag this * is, so by the time elections roll around, and people spread and share the truth about what trash Santorum is, it won't be a mere snowball, it will be an avalanche.

7. Moves away from Bush
OK sure.

That isn't going to work. Anyone buying that crap is stupid ( and there just might be enough stupid people in Penn to make it work for him) but I doubt it.

Sans Scrotum is pissing in the wind. He's going down and I can't wait. His loss in Pennsylvania will merit a bottle of good French champaign out here in CA.

Hopefully I can do quite a bit of celebrating in Nov. of 2006.

11. There he goes again with his election-year moderate act
The stupid idiots of my state fell for it twice (who would want Sen. Klink? His name sounds like either the slammer or Col. Klink from Hogan's Heroes).

Now we have a strong Dem (despite some opinions to the contrary from some DUers) who is kicking Tricky Ricky's ass! Casey's primary opponents, both with funny-sounding names (Pennachio--sounds like Pinnochio, and Sandals) would have their asses handed to them in November if they got the nomination. Ricky's election-year moderate ploy would work on PA voters if either Pinocchio or Sandals got the nomination, but not if Casey got it.
