Senator Murrays Aide.....Ah....I Dont......... |
|
Just got off the phone with Senator Patty Murrays office.....Talked to an aide of course.....I aked if the Senator was going to vote FOR or AGAINST Alito......the aide said......Ah I dont know......hold on just a minute......another Senior aide got on and said.....The Senator want to hear all the debate before making a decission.....I then said isnt the Unitarian Executive crap enough to make a decession TODAY.......I said does Murray have to entertain that issue one second.....does she really support the president having the right to break the law and pick and choose what parts of the constitution they want to obey????
She was quiet and said the Senator will make the right choice for this country......I said I hope so...the countrys future depends on it and so does her possibiltys to get 6 more years in 2010.......I said if the Senator choose to vote against Alito that she also support a fillibuster to.
She said thatnks for my comments.......CLICK

1. Aides aren't allowed to say anything about what a Senator will do |
|
unless the Senator has already taken a very public stance on that issue. Please bear with the staffers, especially the ones who probably are on our side. They have to be very careful about what to say.

2. I think the point is that it's ridiculous that she hasn't come out LONG |
|
ago against Alito. There are so many reasons to oppose this buffon, but by playing the "I want to hear all sides, I want to be thoughtful" BULLSHIT, the Dems have painted them into a corner. They should have come out quick against him, and hard--they only have themselves to blame.
What is really disgusting is the level of imncompetence shwon by the Dems as to how the game is played.

And she gave a long, reasonable list as to why she was voting no.
Staffers must be out of the loop.

5. Has Cantwell spoken yet? I was off studying... |
|
I got the same response yesterday from Murray's office (no comment yet!), but supposedly she was going to talk in person yesterday with Alito....
I just faxed her and Cantwell AGAIN... I can't believe they haven't already announced their intentions.

10. I got a blah blah blah -- nothing email from her |
|
If she doesn't filibuster I will NOT vote for her and I told her she would lose my vote.
I won't vote for a GOPig and I will never again vote for a DINO. So in November I may have to leave the Senator section blank on the ballot.

11. I would eat my foot if Cantwell voted YES. |
|
She makes many claims about being "100 percent pro-choice," and I have no reason to doubt her... yet.

6. both Feingold and Kohl aides |
|
said the same. I introduced myself as a constituent and a former American History teacher and said my main concern was the loony "unitary executive" and the loss of checks and balances for at least a generation. Didn't get into Roe, torture or all the other scams via the 'war powers' excuse.
Told both aides that it did not matter if the filibuster succeeded - what really mattered was that HISTORY would record who REALLY tried to stem the onslaught on our representative democracy.
Both said they would "relay" my concerns -- only Feingold office asked for my name and address.
Also Emailed both - no response there so far.
