Anyone else listening to Grassley yelling and almost crying???
OK - this Senator is about to cry over the "Real Deal Sam Alito," so what's up?? (I think it's Grassley.) Why are the repubs getting so worked up over this? They are going to win in the long run, right, so why all the drama and tears?

Unless...unless, they know something we DON'T know yet. Really - listen to this Senator yelling and on the verge of tears. He is going to WIN, we will LOSE, why the emotion? Do they really care that almost all of the Dems will vote against him. Are they looking for cover when wackadoodle Alito overturns Roe or covers for Bush the KING???

Anyone else wondering what is going on???

4. They are grandstanding...
Grassley (who is my shameful Senator, I'm sorry to say) is whipping up some theatrics, as a message
to Dems who may be considering a filibuster.

I'm sure Junior gave his bestest lemmings the following marching orders, "You intimidate them into
voting for Alito! You threaten them! You shame them! Grassley! You! Stand on the Senate floor and and guilt them into voting for him by crying and screaming! Whatever it takes!"

Did you see Junior's pressed conference? He almost looked threatening, when he said that Alito "deserved an up or down vote." He was sending a message to not filibuster.

I'm sure all of our blackmailed Democratic Senators were listening intently.

It's all high drama.

I'm sorry our state gave this country such a worthless lemming of a Senator. Grassley sucks.

5. Too bad Harriet Miers did not get
an up and down vote. I think I would be laughing at Grassley AND Sam Alito if I were a Senator watching this right now.

7. Wow!! What a surprise!!! Lott is for Alito!!
You know, it is always touch and go with these Republicans, if they are going to support their president. They are of such independent minds, and really believe that the Legislative branch should be sure to remain a viable and independent branch of government.

10. "it is not enough that we win. The opponent must also FAIL.
so, it's not enough to just win the vote--they also have to shame and humiliate the Dems for being an opposition party.

They have abandoned E Pluribus Unum and are all for the one-party monarchy state--and the way to accomplish that is to give Bush extraordinary powers, and destroy the loyal opposition.

This country has lost its way.
