What did Byrd do? Rip the fucking Fourth Amendment out of his little book, or what? What a hypocrite.

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

I, for one, will never believe another word that man says.

Peace.

12. Well said.
Past battles mean NOTHING when the biggest threat to our Constitution is given a YES vote.

Perhaps it's time he retire.

14. You got that right
Byrd's vote is no surprise. The Democrats presented nothing that made Alito an unacceptable candidate.

21. Dems presented PLENTY!!!
They didn't do as good a job as they should or could have. But they got the info out and into the record and Byrd has full access to everything. That is NO excuse for his yes vote!

26. No good reason that I see
I'm not contributing to any of them, and certainly not to the party.

I will, though, contribute to the Congressional campaigns being waged by Iraqi invasion veterans who are running as Democrats. Those guys seem to be my last hope.

who are willing to run and who share our beliefs.

For me the biggest issues are the war and torture. There is no gray area when it come to these issues as far as I'm concerned.

11. I'm with you, Fooj!
Now we know. Byrd is a hypocrit . I'll never listen to another word he says. The little constitution he carries around with him is worthless if it is not upheld by the honorable senator. You're right. Stick it up his "south end". I am really po'd. Think I'll go :puke:

Means alot to me coming from you. You are one of my favorite posters. :-) I am usually in agreement with you.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had peace? These are difficult times - the worst I have lived through - and I don't really want to say how old I am. :-) Pretty old.

20. What it comes down to
is that they will pick there own self interest before they will do what is in the best interest of the country.

On one hand I am sick to my stomach, on the other I am happy that it is finally over. Time to move on, we are finally on our own.
