So four Democratic Senators (so far) will vote "yes" on Alito...?
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 04:17 PM by larissa
~Ben Nelson, Nebraska
~Robert Byrd, W. Virginia
~Tim Johnson, S. Dakota

And Big Eddie just said on his program that it sure sounds to him like Mary Landrieu will be voting for him..

I wasn't able to catch the interview that he just finished with her.. but I heard him saying after she hung up that, :o "wow- kinda sounds like she'll be voting on Alito, doesn't it?"

Maybe someone else here caught the interview?

If she did insinuate that she's leaning that way.. that is FOUR Senators so far --

9. What Byrd likes most is to hear the sound of his bird like voice
other than that, I 've never discerned a clear democratic position on anything. His positions on just about everything haved ebbed and flowed over the years...he's an old coot who should be retired.

6. Landrieu, already said she won't support filibuster, and Lautenberg
... is probably lost. He introduced Alito with lavish praise at the start of the hearing.

7. I doubt Lautenberg will support Alito...
After Lautenberg's introduction, Specter asked him if he cared to make an endorsement and Frank said something along the lines of "I'll let his record speak for itself."

8. Then there are still 4 Dems remaining who won't support filibuster.
And we could lose others.

I hope Lautenberg does vote against Alito.
