Kerry's Courage
Not five minutes ago I read the following in Tour of Duty, by Douglas Brinkley, p. 357-8:

"If the winter soldier hearing was a stone dropped into a pond, then their next planned action was a boulder crashing down off a cliff. ... 'We were trying to determine what our next step was,' Jan Barry (formerly Jan Crumb) recalled. 'Detroit gave us momentum but we now had to keep it going.' Tensions flared at theVVAW meeting - the gap between moderates and extremists was large. Insults were tossed about in vicious fashion. The anger in the air was tangible. As the day wore on, Kerry had heard enough. 'Kerry was quite something,' Barry said. 'In a roomful of angry veterans Kerry stood up and suggested we all go to Washington. It was decided then and there. He had done something positive with their anger.'"

As it was, so it is, so it will be.

1. Damn...that really is the answer. Go to DC and march against Alito.
BEFORE it's too late.
