Question about Bush's speech around 1/24

I'm listening to Stephanie Miller's show from 1/24 (I know I'm late but hey college is in session so I don't have as much freetime as I did) and a caller called in and told how she watched Bush's speech (I could never do it without barfing or punching my tv) and she said during the speech not once did she see a shot of the audience. She also said that it sounded like a laugh track. Did anybody else see this speech and is it true? Are there any photos from the event?

1. My boyfriend won't let Bush speak in our house

So I rarely get to see stuff like this, even though I subscribe to the "Know Your Enemy" line of thought. But I did hear bits and pieces over the radio... and I must say it did indeed sound like a laugh track!

You know how when you watch I Love Lucy and you hear that lady in the audience go, "uh oh"? And you swear you hear the exact same laughter over and over. I swear it sounded like that to me.

2. The One At Kansas State?

It all looked staged at K State despite the fact that they announced it was "unscripted", (which I guess means all the others were scripted?)

And lots of military in the audience, brought in from Ft. Riley.

And lots of softball questions

Except one about 12.5 billion in student loans being cut that he (*) suddenly couldn't hear the question

Jon Stewart made fun of it showing over and over * doing one liners

don't think it was a laugh track, but a very carefully selected audience for the most part
