Poll question: What news broadcast company do you watch?
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 11:05 PM by Dhampir Kampf
Lately, I've changed to watching MSNBC. But I was usually a big CNN fan, until I've read a few posts here and on other sites, how much it's trying to go to the right. So I was just curious, and I wanted people's input on what national broadcast company is the best, and most accurate. Even though I know that is hard to find these days.

EDIT: Added C-Span

I don't trust any of the bastards. I get my news online from reuters and other sources. They have a tendencey not to embelish, or slant the news as much as more mainstream sources.:bounce:

centeral time and almost time for Jon Stewart. I like a little laugh with my politics these days. I hope Amy Goodman gets to laugh sometimes. I was thinking it must be so hard to have to be constantly alert. Thank you Amy.

11. surprisingly
I get a lot of my info by watching the House and Senate. The Democrats may not get a lot of Media coverage (unless it is neg.) but when they do those one minute speeches at the first session in the house they do not pull any stops. And I have a newfound love of debate. Internet sites have to top the list for info. The info is there forever. For instance I went back to find the names of the civilians on the sub that hit the Jap. fishing vessel. I wanted to see if any where in the Bush Admn.

Buzzflash, DN, DU, Bushwatch provide me with news.

BTW, some people here are lying. There's only one vote for Fox, and yet there are nearly ten posts per day referencing things tht were heard on Fox.

C-Span should have been an option
It's the only filtered pony in the race.

But I will admit, I can't watch a lot of it without losing interest or getting raving mad.

I do watch CSPAN for mostly unfiltered raw information aa well as opinion/Q&A sessions like Washington Journal and the one on one interviews.

None of the US news channels (network or Cable) can be trusted.
Only Keith Olberman is worth watching. He's on MSNBC.

31. BBC is the best available on free TV
American network news makes me feel shame for my beloved country. I remember a few months ago Madonna fell off a horse in England and all the idiot TV stations in Los Angeles used that as their lead story. Then they went to the Orange County Equestrian Center to interview people about what it is like to fall off a horse (apparently it is a bad thing). My wife had to keep me from smashing the television set.

32. I usually watch the local TV stations mostly.

I used to like watching Aaron Brown because I like his style but since CNN (The Conswervative News Network) ditched him and signed up a couple of RW talking heads I don't watch CNN any more.

The local news tends to be fluffy but I can usually overlook that.

For what purpose would I watch propagandists? I have the internet at my fingertips and I know they are lying to me in their attempt to reinforce a false world view. The corporation that own them want obedient consumers, not informed citizens.
