WHY do the whack jobs want to control women? I'm sick of it. |
|
I'm a woman and I want to live my life the way I choose, in accordance with my own values and ethics. I certainly don't want to be dependent on some Republican whack job man who probably wants to beat me, abuse me, rape me, or some other revolting perversion. If they're THAT determined to control women's lives, they've got some serious issues they need professional help with.
I'm a woman who has dealt with various forms of abuse and discrimination my whole life and I AM SICK OF IT!!!
These freaking Republican whack jobs need to keep their nose (and the government's) out of MY business!
Jeez Louise, they make me want to knock some heads together and scream in frustration.

from hemorrhages and they will change it back. It's going happen this way. We have already been through this, but the younger ones are too young to know, and the older ones have forgotten.

the fight. My mother is one of them and she tells me that no one is picking up the cause like they did in her day. She feels disappointed about that. I really don't know why younger women are not fighting harder for this, either (although I don't think complacency is acceptable for the older women).

|
If they so want to control their sexuality, then why don't they just keep their pricks in their pants, just say no, and then walk away?
There's another reason: these whacko guys don't want to control their own sexuality; they want to control women so they can strut about bragging about how much of a man he is because he can keep his bitches in line :grr: Some males are not mature enough to feel like men without subjugating women.

It's a bitch when the WORST SIN is something that actually feels good. Impossible dilemma, and the only way they know to work it out is to control what The Bible tells them is the source.

6. Remember the male/female help wanted ads? |
|
That's the world the bushbots want to return to women.
Women can clean the house, wash diapers, and stay up night watching sick kids. Then they can apply for jobs as keyboarders, waitresses, maids or even bank tellers.
Just as long as they have dinner on the table for the "man" of the house because he carries the true burden of the family. (barf).
That's what our mothers and grandmothers endured, as well as unwanted pregnancies as they submitted to the mans "needs".

11. What THOSE men 'need' is an amputation, not a woman! |
|
It's my point exactly - I've put up with that kind of crap for too long and I'm sick of it. Heave ho and hit the road, Republican whacks. Leave ME the freak alone!
Personally, I couldn't endure having the clock turned back to the days when women were chattal. My short list would be to either kill those men who attempted to enslave me, or kill myself to escape it. I could NOT endure the things our great-grandmothers put up with! The idea of being forced back into that kind of intolerable slavery makes me feel ill.

8. One reason: they aren't men at heart |
|
Real men don't even think about controlling women. Case closed, end of discussion.
Another reason: these counterfeit males think women owe them a living because they've been taught as boys that women are beneath them and they're entitled to have thinks exactly their own way at women's expense--and get off scot-free in the process!
Third reason: They're just plain evil--sociopaths who think they're above the law. I can think of a few closet--and not-so-closet--wife beaters slithering around in the White House and the halls of Congress.

10. The urge to manipulate and avoid being manipulated, |
|
to dominate and avoid being dominated, to intimidate and avoid being intimidated, is very likely one of those human things that we are stuck with and will have to spend a considerable amount of each of our lives trying to discourage. It mostly depends on who is on the receiving end, as I've seen the most valiant and staunch defenders of self determination, when faced with the proper situation, turn into outright harridans-the very epitome of the types they had fought so long against. It is a human frailty we must constantly be on guard against, in ourselves as well as in others.

14. True. And fundy men are vulnerable because of their family structures. |
|
Love and affection come from Mom, not the stern, God-like Dad.
Peel back the layers on the average fundy male and you'll find a Mom who dominated and manipulated.

17. I think this can happen in both sexes. |
|
It happens to women much more than men, but it does happen to some men. My wife and I have been together for 42 years, married for 34 of them. We have always enjoyed being with each other and pretty much have had the same interests. We NEVER considered ourselves more important than the other one, and we always shared as close friends. I injured myself at work and was forced to retire early with a disability. I have my social security and two separate pensions coming in each month. She has to go to work each day but we make about the same amount of money. All of a sudden she's saying things like she has to get up at the crack of dawn and go out and work everyday to keep food on the table and insists that weekends, holidays and vacations belong to her. Welllllll, I told her one day that she's acting just like a right wing republican male from the 1950's and everything has been going down hill since. It's been going on for 5 years now and believe me it can happen in both sexes.

Not to beat the proverbial dead horse, but there would be no fundy men without fundy women. Matriarchial societies are not unheard of, as well. Many, many women did feel disenfranchised when the "natural order" was upset and a "few loud-mouthed" women began demanding to be treated as equals!
(Sigh) 'Twas ever thus.

Women first and foremost, but deep down they want to control everyone.
They are the party of "White Christian Men", and they want to have dominion over everyone in the nation besides other White Christian Men. Women, Blacks, Latinos, you name it. Whoever they can control via money, reproduction, coercion, force or whatever it takes.

They don't deserve the honor... They're Cashtains and they started trying to control the world through religion in 325 CE, long before the belief system called Bushism took root. Here's a paragraph from the book I'm writing that shows the first documentation of pass-the-plate Cashists robbing women of power in the Church:
Genesis shows Divine plurality, while not describing what plural references mean. Is it plausible that plural elements signify remnants of Gnostic influence? Sozomen mentions no Gnostic sect in attendance at Nicea but Arius had a vast female following. By defending Paulianist Doctrine, Arius gave excommunicated patriarch of Antioch, Paul of Samosata a position in history with Canon XIX. “With regard to Paulianists who take refuge in the Catholic Church, it has been decided that they definitely need to be baptized. If, however, some of them have previously functioned as priests, if they seem to be immaculate and irreprehensible, they need to be baptized and ordained by a bishop of the Catholic Church. In this way, one must also deal with deaconesses or with anyone in an ecclesiastical office. With regard to the deaconesses who hold this position we remind that they possess no ordination but are to be reckoned among the laity in every respect.” It appears women held rank in certain churches, as “deaconesses,” prior to 325 CE.
See? Women had LOTS more power before Constantine.

and then he created woman. Plus, Eve ate the apple, the forbidden fruit. That is why women menstruate and give birth, we are being punished.
Well, at least that is what I hear from my born-again sister but I have to admit I don't pay all that much attention to her religious bullshit. When someone claims God told her Bush would be re-elected, I know she has lost it.
She went from a strong liberal democrat to a right wing evangelical fundy all for a man... :puke:

I think that most of them have such shitty lives and feel unwilling or unable to fix the problems in their own lives that they want to feel that they are in control of SOMEONE. It doesn't matter to them who it is, either. Just any group of people that can (falsely) believe that they are "better than". It' an ego thing, it's really sick and I agree with you about them needing help.
