Shouldn't a Hamas leader be seated next to Laura this SOTU? |
|
Remember in 2003 when Chalabi sat next to LB? To represent the spreading of democracy in the Middle East & all, I suggest a Hamas leader this go around *heehee*

2. That would be a great question for David Gregory to ask at the gaggle... |
|
"Scott, given the emphasis on spreading Democracy in the Middle East, will a representative from the Democratically elected Hamas group be invited to attend the State of the Union as is the established tradition? If not, why not?"

3. Why not use Chalabi again? |
|
He's been a real friend to America, huh? And what a fine example of what your tax dollars are being used to support!

4. Only bush backed democracies qualify for that "honor"... |
|
if they're not on the BFEE "team" they get zip. I'm sure Palestinians everywhere will be shedding innumerable tears because their leader won't be able to sit next to the first stepford wife.

9. My thoughts exactly... |
|
I had a family member tell me how tragic it is that Hamas did so well. Why? They VOTED for the person or people they wanted. How is that different then our elections? Except of course, that theirs were not predetermined by a computer program. I asked this family member, so it is only a valid election if the winner is "ordained" by the * administration? She left the room.
I heard on the news this morning that the Israelis will not work or negoitate with a Hamas person. But being * lackies, I am not surprised. To me this is another case of people putting their religion before their sense! Whos to say that the new Hamas people are not willing to come to the table and hammer some things out. Maybe or maybe not, but I am always willing to give people a shot! Oh wait, sorry that was very liberal, and tree-hugging, free thinking of me! :hippie:

10. This planet is one big joke |

when you really understand the true meaning of 'their version' of Democracy. It is self-interest by any means necessary. Any country that puts other bullies' self interest above the self interest of their own citizens is democratic.
