Why Isn't Olbermann A "Hardball Hotshot"?
I just stumbled past the promo for this latest work of MSRNC...Tweety, Rita (is there a dead blonde around?) Crosby, Bowtie Boy and Joey the Intern Killer will "tell us" what the "real news of the week means. Now that appears to be the entire evening lineup on the network with the exception of Keith Olbermann. I wonder why. What do you think? And what will the topics be tonight? How unpatriotic Democrats are? How great spying on your neighbor is? Why we should be scared shit of Arabs flying airplanes into our heads?

Cheers...

1. Because he is too smart and handsome for the hardball group
He'd shine so brightly that the rest would pale in comparison and fade into oblivion and you know tweety would not like that.:loveya:

3. It's probably because Countdown will be the only prime time show running
They pre-empted the other losers for important stuff like prison documentaries.

Besides it would totally spoil the tone of the "Hardball Hotshots" debate which covers the entire political spectrum from R to R.

It would be fun if Rita started investigating Joe's dead intern. Was she Blonde?

5. Oh, wow. Oh, WOW!!!!! Yours is an idea whose time has come!!!!
That is PERFECT!!! We need to get Rita Cosby--AND Nancy Grace, AND Greta van Susteren AND YES, EVEN GERALDO--on the case of Lori Klausutis, Joe's dead intern!!

I mean, why not? She was white and young and female, and she died under mysterious circumstances. Just like Chandra Levy!!

6. I Was Thinking We Should Drop A Note...LOL
I rarely watch Tweety, unless he's gonna say something stupid...again, and MSRNC ceases to exist on my TV after Olbermann. It'd be one thing if these were shows that gave "news from the right perspective", instead these are hate sessions that blame every trouble in the world on Democrats and attempt to deify feckless leader and minimalize all the damage this regime has done.

I'd kinda like to see our own hotshots out there...Jane Hamsher, Hunter at DKos, Glenn Grunwald, John Aravosis and our budding superstars...that's be something well worth listening to and watching.

Cheers...

7. That's a GREAT idea, bklyncowgirl!
I don't know if she was a blond because there were never any pictures of her run by the "liberal" media that I know of. Funny how that works isn't it?

4. Love Keith, plan my night around him, but he didn't play hardball...
last night. He never mentioned Alitio or the filibuster by John Kerry, unless I missed it and I don't think I did. What is up with that?!!

8. I've noticed watching MSNBC's commercials for their
prime time line up, that they paint KO and Countdown as comedy ~ even compare it to The Daily Show,,,, it's Tucker's show they paint as "news",,,,

AND I just don't get how Tweety thinks he can have it both ways,,,, either he's a politcal hack OR he reports news,,,, but lately whenever Bush-speaks it's Tweety pretending to be a News Person,,,,

I'm sick of it all.

9. He would make Matthews eat RitJoeTuk
You make RitJoeTuk by sticking Tucker up Joe's ass then stuff them both in Ritas's ass roast at 350 for infinity.

10. I believe there was a Olbermann commercial on during "Meet The Press"
Last Sunday, on the main NBC network.

I think having a promo on the higher viewed NBC network is better than any MSNBC promos.

11. They need to do some serious damage control.
The RW is in a shambles with scandals everywhere. Having Keith on his panel would inject some truth and reality into the discussion and the last thing they want is an informed audience.

BTW, Hardball Hotshots is the corniest name ever for a panel of this nature.

12. His show is not in trouble....
They are just trying to pump them up to get someone to watch their show. It is NOT a good thing to lose one whole night. How much you wanna bet some of them get cancelled soon?

19. No, MSNBC only cancels high-rated shows, like Phil Donohue's.
His was the highest-rated show on their network, but their parent companies didn't like how Phil was constantly pointing out the fallacies of going to war in Iraq, which would have cost those parent companies money-making schemes had we not gone.

Keith better watch out. He may be on the chopping block soon for telling the truth! :scared:

23. I couldn't survive without Keith!!!!!
He's the best, and I know you're right. You would think they would get a clue...give more people like Keith a show, and maybe you will get more viewers.

pre-empted on Friday nights.

14. An unconspirtorial take on it
Olbermann does a radio show plus Countdown. He may just be too busy to participate in this new masturbatory "Hot Shot" panel.

But it does show the right wing bias of MSNBC's line-up (One vs. four koolaid drinkers). And if MSNBC were at all serious, they'd at least have one "liberal" on that panel to balance things out a bit. Give Rachael Maddow an honorary spot on the "hot shot panel" maybe.
