2. I heard about it when it happened.
So it was reported, but probably a clue about a missing, blonde co-ed came to light and pushed the story to the back of the paper.

Iran has said it had information that the United States, Britain and Israel had a role in two deadly military plane crashes in the last two months.

It was the latest accusation by Tehran against the West in their sharpening confrontation.

A day earlier, Iran blamed the United States and Britain for two bombings that killed at least nine people in the southwestern city of Ahvaz. ....

4. The one carrying the top ground commander was written off
as an aging aircraft.

The timing was still rather curious.
Only saw a write up in the Guardian at the time.

5. I remember hearing about 1 plane
crashing into an apartment building. Planes going down like this
has America written all over it. Pentagon has some sort of electronics Jammer which brought the planes down.
