two college textbooks I had ordered for my son
these were two different shipments
used books from different sellers through amazon

both had been ripped open on the side....
both had been sent Priority and were heavily taped

A Big Package -- Opened and re-taped
A smaller package -- opened and re-taped
4 letters, including one today -- my college tuition bill. The letters had just been opened, but not taped.

6. SOB... I thought it was just a problem at our post office

I started receiving some letters and packages in plastic bags marked "damaged by USPS" -- looked like they'd been eaten by a machine or something. This has been happening at least once per week since Christmas. It's all been personal mail (handwritten envelopes) -- Oklahoma, Texas, Canada and Mexico were the origins.

Mostly my political mail is damaged. I am the treasurer of our county Democrats, so I get mail pertaining to my job, and from other county Democratic organizations in the state. Lately, it is always damaged. My copy of the Nation has been damaged, too. And I got a Netflix that was only the front cover. The dvd inside had been sent back to Netflix automatically, without our viewing it.

Holy shit. I thought we just had a bunch of incompetents regionally, and some machines that damaged everyone's mail. But there could be a pattern here. I hope not, but there could be.
