GOP poll: Voters See Abramoff Scandal as Republican by FIFTEEN to ONE
No wonder "journalists" are caving to pressure to muddy the water!

Yesterday some goper congressmen circulated a letter to the whole repub conference-

snip>
Citing a litany of recent polling data that suggests that Republicans will face trouble at the polls next November, the four members wrote: "We must realize that the Majority we have all worked so hard for is in jeopardy. The only choice is to embrace real reform."
.....
One of the polls cited in the letter suggests that Americans believe that Republicans are more corrupt than their Democratic colleagues by a two-to-one ratio and that voters associate disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff with the GOP almost 15 to one.

7. Despite four weeks of the MSM 'catapulting the propaganda' ,as Bush calls

it, that it is a bi-partisan scandal, it seems the media is failing to influence the public, finally.

The reason for their failure I believe, is due to the efforts of the bloggers who forced the truth out of the Post and who have spread the truth in emails, on blogs, in conversations with their family and friends and in any way they could. They in turn spread it further. It looks the media is losing its power. They have lost credibility ~ once a trusted friend tells another who has bought into the lie, the truth, in my experience, because we have truth and documentation on our side, a trusted friend or relative will win every time.

I know I have had to correct information even some of my liberal friends had regarding this scandal. I have given them information on where to find the truth. No one, not even my Republican family members have argued with me once they checked out the facts for themselves.

I think it would be a good idea for the DNC or someone to put together a little booklet titled 'Abramoff, A Uniquely Republican Scandal'

Maybe another short booklet on the 'K Street Project' ~ the theft of a nation, would show people how impossible it was for Demcorats to be involved in this scandal.

It should in the hands of everyone who knows the truth and knows they will encounter someone each day, who doesn't.

It would make great reading anyway. Abramoff's adventures are a fascinating tale which would capture the interest of millions of people if they were aware of them. It has every element that makes a story a best-seller. Greed, arrogance, corruption of a magnitude probably never been seen in the lifetimes of most people, murder, theft, racism, hubris, ambition, success, failure and most of all, as you learn more and more each day, a real look into why it was never possible for Democrats to win an election in this country, until the crimes became so obvious it was impossible to ignore them ignore anymore anymore.

Someone could make some money doing that, and it would also be a public service.

We have to be the media now ~ it's no use pretending or hoping for any truth from MSM. It won't happen, better to accept that, imo.

It's interesting that the memo shows no concern at all for the party's ethics, only how to keep the public from knowing about their criems, so typical of the criminal mind.

The Republican Party is no more. Shame on those Conservatives and Republicans who remained silent as they watched their party sink into what it is today. It wasn't just the Democrats who were rolled over, real Republicans were also.

8. "The only choice is to embrace real reform."
Rather than the mock reform and continued support of corruption which has been their regular mode of operations up until now?

9. And after all of Katie's and Matt's and Tim's hard work, too!
{Heavy Republican sigh} It's so hard to get good help nowadays.

You know, GOP, as much as you like to compare Chimpy to Abraham Lincoln, you might want to focus in on one more little thing that Lincoln said: You can't fool all of the people all of the time. And your time is coming. Unlike Bush in Iraq, I strongly suggest you have an exit strategy when that eventuality comes to pass.

10. Don't forget Ms Howell and Kurtz at the WaPo!
They read the script too.

I wish we could tell what firm did the polling - the article doesn't say. I'm guessing it was commissioned internally on the QT.
