1. For those of you not in Montana
Burns has created an ad where he:

1) Seriously screams at the top of his lungs with seriously spittle flying!
2) Accuses factually correct ads about him taking $150,000 from Abramoff to be just "partisan political attacks"
3) Claims that it's DEMOCRATS that took money from Abramoff ('s clients)!
4) Claims that he doesn't know who got fooled by Abramoff, but it certainly wasn't him (despite clear indications of bribe taking).

It's so over the top ballsy in a completely psychotic way. EVERY SINGLE TIME I see it, I'm serioously screaming back because the lies are so blatent.

I'm happy the DSCC is going to load in on that race.
Burns claims he can raise $10 million, Morrison has raised over a million, and I haven't heard Tester's report for last quarter yet.

But those who want to donate to one of Burns' Dem opponents directly can use:

Primary is in June, right DinoBoy?

6. I called Tester's campaign office a few days ago to ask his
position on choice/reproductive rights because he had nothing on his website.

I expected to talk to a staffer but the guy who answered the phone said Jon is right here and I will let you talk to him directly. I told him I did not live/vote in Montana and friendly staffer indicated it did not matter. He handed the phone to Jon without even asking my name.

I was stunned to have this access.

Jon and I talked for approximately 20 minutes about a wide range of national political issues, farming and ranching and public education. He was really easy to talk to and very forthcoming. Montana is lucky to have a real person instead of an empty suit running for the U.S. Senate.

I sent him a small check. I no longer give money to the DNC - I just find the candidates I want to support and do it directly.

8. He immediately stated he was pro-choice.
He had no hesitation or conditions. He was actually surprised that it was not on his website and spoke with his staff person about it right then. He then talked about some sort of state-wide initiative he had been involved with and said that he would get the info up on his website.

This is the kind of guy you really would want to have a beer with !
