Where are the celebrations from neo-con America (the Palestinian election)
Where are all of the celebrations from neo-con America about democracy flourishing in the Middle East? Where are the purple fingers? Where are are the cheery columns on townhall.com and the sneering "I told you so's" from Jonah Goldberg and Michael Barone?

Come on! Now's your chance! Tell off us DUmmies good! These elections were a vindication for the policies of George W. Bush, and us liberals just don't get it. Boy, they sure showed us!

1. Boy that is definitely a White House talking point, In fact, he was
attending an economic summit that many Re pubs were at also. They are rerunning their election material.

Yep - Democracy worked in Palestine!

(But, to be honest, the political wing of Hamas isn't like the terrorist wing. Kind of like the Irish freedom fighters - you know).

P.S. I bet my ex husband voted Hamas in absentee. I have no doubt, really.

6. it seems clear
you were referring to Sinn Fein. I'm well versed in the history of the struggle for Irish freedom. Thank you very much.

9. please join
the Irish Affairs group to discuss these issues. I don't know that I've seen you there. You'd be welcome addition. I did not mean to sound argumentative. I felt like your second comment to me was a shot and responded in kind.

10. No - I was being vague on that issue on purpose.
The second comment was a shot because I felt like you weren't getting the comparison I was making between the Irish and Palestinian struggles.

I purposely don't go to those groups because, well, I have difficulties with some issues in that regard (personal) and I know I can't be as objective as I should.

Thank you for the invite and someday my Irish Catholic once married to a Palestinian now married to a Jew rear will be over there, but, right now, I'm being multi-cultural on my own. ;)
