We, as a nation, were defeated on Sept 11th, 2001..
With the arrogant incompetent, George W Bush, at the helm, we were attacked on that fateful day by 19 terrorists with box cutters as their primary weapons. But they were able to hijack several planes and attacked NYC and Washington DC. They attacked the World Trade Center, the heart of our economy, and the Pentagon, the heart of our military.

As expected, our leaders, embarrassed by their own incompetence over-reacted. They believed that the terrorists were lined up to attack us over and over and over again. However, it is most probable that it was a lucky one-time hit, brought on by those leaders who were asleep at the wheel. Many doubt that there was an army of terrorists waiting to hit us again.

In the aftermath, we gave up our freedoms for the promise of safety. But it was all empty promises. Our country is less safe today than on Sept 12th, 2001. From what we have surrendered, we have been defeated. We lost the war. We lost our country.

1. They have won. We are now a dictatorship.
What freedoms do we have left for them to hate us for?

3. No, we were defeated in December of 2000
When the votes were not counted, and we had a neo-con COUP in this country.

As soon as we allowed them to install this monster without counting the votes, we lost our democracy.

4. Post Sept 11 America is what FDR meant when he said we should fear fear
Bush/Cheney basked in primal fear. Fear has been the basis of their control.

As a nation we aren't defeated we are a nation swept into reactionism to fear; we are oppressed as a consequence of being fearful.

I'll grant you that it may be hard to distinguish hiding out in a hole and being defeated.

But, daily in that hole we are becoming ever more thirsty, hungry and cold. We will ultimately be forced to make a choice between either captitulating to fear and dying of want or getting up and being willing to die trying to satisfy our needs.

the real defeat.

7. So, the gopig stick in the muds complain about muddy floors!
there was a documentary once by bill moyers talking about the expense of the military, this during vietnam war era...moyer was in the back of a truck, talking to the camera while the vehicle rolled along at a fair speed between rows of helicopters, military helicopters... it was stunning, row after row of these helicopters just sitting there each row stretching off into the distance...moyer talked for several minutes, but all the while the helicopters slid by either side...there must have been thousands of the damn things! While getting my pilot's licence, I read a book that mention, as an footnote, that in year 1943, while the USAF built up, starting literally from scratch in many cases, 23000 aircraft were destroyed in the rush to train pilots/crews and test aircraft etc. That's 23 THOUSAND aircraft destroyed, in one year! All this says is that bushinc isn't really doing anything that any buncha cheap political gangsters couldn't do, given that they're depravity is beyond belief and they're racist/sexist/anti intellectual fake xian mentality is supported in a mass media common culture which has been built upon lies and preplanned fictions passed off as news and history truth! you could be prez under them circumstances, or even me (!!)....we are truly a much more dishonest, corrupt and vicious civilization then our history books claim, and it's about time societies such as the USSR or Mao's China or Hitler's germany were put in their real context historywise, no worse then the west, indeed probably created in part by western (christian) depravity greed and stupidity (remember, the russian revolution was hijacked by vladmir lenin after the gerrmans shipped him to russian border on condition lenin pull russia outta 1st world war) ...the usa wasn't defeated on 911, that was just the latest and grandest victory of the devil, who rules most of human history through men like them.....

...to let those attacks happen, according to researcher Nafeez Ahmed, and that's the most generous explanation.

Most of those "Hijackers" got their passports from 1 CIA Visa mill in Jedda;

And the very odd thing that I’d like to draw to your attention, is that I have a statement from a guy by the name of Michael Springman, who was chief of the US Consulate in Jedda, and it’s been confirmed, that at least 13 of the hijackers obtained visas to the United States from the US Consulate in Jedda.

Now, it’s interesting because according to Michael Springman, who used to be head of the visa bureau in Jedda in the 1980’s, he said that he had been protesting to the State Dept. that the CIA, according to him, was using the US Consulate in Jeddah to grant visas to unqualified applicants from all over the world, basically to recruit Mujahadin in the Afghan war. And what Springman subsequently said in the aftermath of 9/11, that he’s worried, after hearing these reports, that the pipeline wasn’t closed up.

This is what he said, I believe he said this in an interview with CBC Radio in Canada, “I had not been protesting fraud, what I was protesting was in reality an effort to bring recruits, rounded up by Osama bin Laden to the United States for terrorist training by the CIA.”

“The State Dept. did not run the Consulate in Jedda, the CIA did. Of the roughly 20 Washington-dispatched staff there, I know for a certainty that only 3 people including myself had no ties to any of the US intelligence services.”

So that is an issue that the 9/11 Commission simply has not dealt with in sufficient detail.

More Nafeez

The 9/11 Commission Report is a Whitewash, a big pile of Bushit, just like the WMDs in Iraq.

I'm afraid that "19 terrorists with box cutters" is a meme that has allowed the Bushit to carry on for far too long. There needs to be a serious divestment of Western Intel's history with "Islamic Radicalism" and "Al Qaeda";

Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians.

9. Makes sense :
Seems like a Chinese bargain (win/win) -

The Saudis got what they wanted - US troops out of Saudi Arabia
The Neocons got what they wanted - a "cataclysmic" "Pearl Harbor-like" event used to gain the political will for a pre-emptive war policy (with Iraq first on the list).
