Iraq War Veterans PAC Formed with Gen Clark
Edited on Sat Jan-28-06 10:33 AM by liberaliraqvet26
I met the executive director of this PAC during the Kerry campaign in Iowa in 2004. We now have 9 Iraq War Vets running for Congress and one for Senate as Dems!!! Please help if you could. Our credible message can help us achieve our goals in '06 and beyond. Please help if you can!!!

Read the Endorsement Criteria, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Lets put the Chickenhawk on the endangered species list!!!!

3. My respect for Wes Clark
keeps growing and growing and growing. I`d give anything to see this man lead Democrats to a victory in `08. I so appreciate Clark`s genuine concern for those serving in the military.

4. Thanks. Put that in your pipe, Karl Rove.
As Paul Hackett so strongly pointed out, the military swore to protect the Constitution of the United States; not whatever Chickenhawk happens to be in power.

Many of these vets were anti-war but they are fighters who can point out the lie that "Dems are pre 9/ll", as Rove would phrase it. You CAN be a progressive and strong on National Security!!!

13. K&R'ed
Very nice, straightforward political action and thinking. How long before every veteran who is not a fascist GOPer gets (notso)swiftboated? And how long will that godawful tactic work?

14. Donated. They look like they will be very effective...
getting out the message in '08. I hope everyone can throw them a bone. It will likely go a lot further than the DNC.

16. Yeah!!!
Let's see 'em try to swiftboat all these people -- sooner or later, they'll be shown for the lying, shallow, slogan-spouting asshats they are.

Looks like a good PAC to me! :)

19. from the Dallas-Fort Worh star telegram...
WASHINGTON - A new political action committee to put veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in Congress is getting under way.
"There is not one policy-maker debating this war who has actually fought this war," Jon Soltz, executive director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America PAC and an Iraq war veteran, said in an interview Wednesday

53 and Counting!

Selfish plug - please send money to Charlie Brown who is mounting a campaign to take Doolittle (Ca4) DOWN! Ten bucks now would be more valuable then fifty closer to November.

21. "IAVA PAC will not consider party affiliation-
in the endorsement process."

I support Clark and I encourage veterans to run and get their knowledge and experience to washington but I'm not loving this last bullet point on the
endorsement criteria page...
