There may be a reason why oil companies are profiting so much

Perhapes they are increasing their profits because they are preparing for what maybe coming, that is conflict in the middle easst that causes oil to double or triple leading to increased prices of gas and decreased sales to point where they may not be able to make any money. That also maybe why they haven't built any new refineries because they know that in the near future oil refinement is going to decrease because we are just flat out running out

They made a killing in the whole Katrina/Rita nightmare. They kept jacking up the prices, acting like they were about to declare bankruptcy if they didn't, then turned a $10 BILLION profit.

They are greedy bastards, plain and simple.
