Have any of you ever sent an email to the WH?

I'm constantly reading posts about which member of congress we send email and faxes to, but I can't recall ever reading "I sent this message to the WH!

Why don't we do that TOO? After all it's THERE where most of all this trouble starts, isn't it?

2. We should send copies of the Constitution and Bill of Rights - imagine if

we cc'd the news organizations as well. Millions of people flooding emails with base documents of America.

7. I realize they send auto responses, but I'm sure SOMEONE

watches them too. The same as a Senators office when they get several hundred on the same topic.

I happen to think it's worth the effort. For goodness sake, it takes a few minutes at most!

Obviously, sending them emails about a filibuster is futile, but we could swamp them with complaints about the wire taping, misuse of executive power, corruption of the Party!!!! Ohh, the list goes on!

Why not? I see it as a way to get them a bit more un-nerved than they already are!

11. It would be interesting to have a thread created where you could fill

in certain details about you, like name and zip code and then have a one click automated email message that is a letter detailing our gripes about wiretapping ect. Then have the email send copies of the Constitution and Bill of Rights along with the letter of gripes to the WH, major news outlets, and most importantly to your respective Congressional people. This last part would be linked to your zip code and would be an automated change over with out mailing the whole House and Senate. Lastly it would be crucial for all email recipients to see that the other recipients got the same emails.

Does this sound like a workable idea?

I know we have some programming gurus here on DU that might be able to work it out, but GEE, you're asking for an all in one!!!!! That's got to be tough!

Once I wrote a letter to Bill Clinton about the wrong direction he was going with NAFTA and how they seemed to be working against the people and for the multinationals. Ya know, profit over everything . I got a computerized form letter returned which basically said squat. Blah blah blah. In simple terms, screw you people, we dont work for you . Donate a few thousand and we may read yer next letter.

10. I once did to Bill Clinton and I got a form letter back from the DNC

asking for money. My concerns were not addressed, but that's okay because he was going through the Ken Starr BS.

I couldn't be bothered with *, because it probably hits the shredder before it's even read.

20. God no! I'm the last person in the world. No. That is wrong. I'll write an

angry letter to the Chinese on Tibet. I'll argue issues I feel strongly about. I've never in my life understood payback. There is no value in it whatsoever. I have no desire to be any closer to the neocons than I am right now. That's close enough. I've been harrased. And when the anger got overwhelming because I was not left alone - I took my ass to the emergency room and said give me pills that will calm me down.

I got a letter back, signed by him. It's framed and hanging on my office wall.

I asked him to quit telling us how he goes to church and prays and reads the Bible, and to show us how a real Christian acts.

I got a letter back about stem-cell research.
