Walmart Exec (Bush Donor) to Plead Guilty to Federal Charges
from: http://www.wlns.com/Global/story.asp?S=4336112&nav=0RbQ

There's word that former Wal-Mart Vice Chairman Thomas Coughlin will plead guilty later this month to federal wire fraud and tax evasion charges. The Wall Street Journal reports the deal calls for him to plead guilty to five counts of wire fraud and one count of tax evasion. A court hearing on the plea deal is set for later in January, according to people familiar with the proposed plea agreement he has struck with prosecutors.

The #2 man at the world's largest retailer left the company early last year amid accusations that he'd misappropriated as much as $500,000 from Wal-Mart through fraudulent reimbursements and improper use of gift cards. People with the matter say federal sentencing guidelines call for a sentence of in excess of two years.

Here's a list of Thomas Coughlin's campaign contributions, and sure enough, he donated $2,000 to Bush '04!
