Sorry for the woman and her plight;
Whoevern her witchcraft could not do it;

Kenyan dies in her sleep after cursing God
Starving woman accused the Almighty of sending famine

NAIROBI, Kenya - A starving Kenyan woman placed a powerful tribal curse on God, accusing him of sending famine, and died in her sleep, local newspapers said on Thursday.

The woman from eastern Kenya’s drought-ravaged Kangundo district decided to invoke a dreaded oath from the Kamba community, famed for its potent witchcraft, media reports said.

“Whoever brought this famine, let him perish,” the woman chanted, striking a cooking pot with a stick.

She calls it god, I call him hitler and I guess he's still head of the known world, kicking and screeching. I say hitler caused the drought in part because of his 'no policy' on global warming.

1. Famine is brought by greed
Edited on Sun Jan-29-06 09:20 AM by Warpy
and it's mostly the greed of a very few soft, pink old men living in walled compounds where none of us ever see them. They're the ones who only let people with money have food and who make sure that much of the food that could be fed to a starving continent goes to meat animals, instead, so that the richer people in the world can have a more varied dining experience.

I join with her in cursing those men. They've denied me health care and finally a livelihood and kept me in artificial poverty in a land of plenty my whole life.

May their next incarnations repeat both our lives.

2. she didn't curse God
“Whoever brought this famine, let him perish,” the woman chanted, striking a cooking pot with a stick.

"Whoever" is not God, at least not directly.

it's the "translation" from the Kenyan paper which is blindly retaken by the American media which don't know better.

Those morons at the Kenyan newspaper are of course strucken by the coincidence that she died the same night. Basically those guys believe in witchcraft, but since it's not politically correct and the newspaper is probably owned by some Evangelical group, they have to find an "explanation".

And the US media are not much better

3. But I would take it that any supreme being;
Whether it's the recognized western version or an equally recognized spirit and/or voodoo version from an animist religion would still be considered god. At least it would seem to me, a recognized athiest :rofl:
