I heard Steve reading this from a newspaper on C-Span this morning. That is all I heard. Was it a joke? Or could the ignorant liar have said something that stupid? Must have been a joke.

Yes, it was a 'joke' he told at a private party last night of the Alfalfa Club, some 'top secret' Washington social club.

"ALFALFA CLUB ORGANIZATION:

An exclusive Washington, D.C. club for the rich and powerful, founded in 1913. Its sole purpose is to hold an annual banquet each January to honor the birthday of General Robert E. Lee. There are approximately 200 members. Each member is eligible to bring up to two guests to the $185-a-plate dinner. The club always serves filet mignon and lobster."



Bush is a riot, isn't he, especially when he is joking about shredding the U.S. Constitution.

Katrina Vander Heuvel was wonderful on C-Span Washington Journal this morning as always and said exactly what I would say if I was a guest.
