Anyone see on the Meet the Whores
Edited on Sun Jan-29-06 11:27 AM by dennis4868
with Tim Russert during the reporters roundtable....one of the reporters (I think from the LA Times) mentioned that Bush has case law behind him to allow him to spy on americans without a warrant. I remember hearing something about this case but it was debunked very quickly. This reeporter was so excited to give the opinion of the law that came from the case but I think he has no idea what he is talking about and is simply reading the WH talking points.

Anyone know anything about this case that the Whore on Meet the Whores was talking about. He said that the court stated that a president, in order to protect us, may conduct warrantles searches. That wa sabout all he said and he did not mention the name of the case.

3. "Meet the Whores" or "Press the Meat" - same show, right?

I never watch it because I am mad enough already but they lie like rugs it's all about lies and self-promotion. Ugh.

4. it seems to me.........
....if there was really a strong argument that could prove that, he would have cited a source case.

I've seen many, many legal authorities talk about this and ALL of them say the administration's argument is very weak.

7. I also think.....
that is this case was really a proof that allowed Bush to spy without a warrant we would have heard alot more about it from the WH and other whores on TV during the past 3 weeks.

9. you're right about that
If they were truly justified in this, we would be hearing much more noise from the radical right.

But more than my own personal opinion, I think the legal opinions prove that this is illegal so I don't know how anyone could cite a case that proves it's legal.

In the hearing led by Conyers a couple of weeks ago, there were several legal and govt scholars and they explained each argument that the administration has presented and they found ALL of their arguments to be very thin!! I'm sure if there were a legal precedent for this, someone would have mentioned it then.

5. I don't know how you do it.
I mean, kudos to you for watching these things because somebody has to. But, when I'm even tempted to watch Sunday talkshows, I consider two things; 1) If I'm pissed already, it would get me even more pissed off. 2) If I'm in a good mood, I wouldn't be after watching the show.

6. I usually do not watch it......
this was the first Sunday I wateched the Whores with Russert in almost a year....it is amazing how these reporters will support and defend a criminal in the WH no matter what he does, no matter how many have died, and no matter how many civil rights are being ignored! And to think these same reporters were running wild over a BJ in 1998....

8. Assume you will hear lies, deceits, propaganda and NO TRUTH - your
expectations will be met and your blood pressure won't rise.
