Scott Ritter's speech on Bush's march to war in Iran.
He predicts what is going to happen. From the fact that Russia will not allow the UN to sanction Iran, to the next step that Bush will take, to unilaterally start bombing. All without so much as any evidence that they even pose a threat. And his solution to the situation. This speech blew me away. We need to take back our government in 2006.

3. Highly recommended!
I heard part of this speech on the radio the other day, and I've been looking for a place to hear it in full.

Thanks.

Even though someone did a horrible job transcribing the speech.

If you can, you'll be better off downloading the audio.

"84% of Americans believe that we should impose sanctions against Iran through the United Nations as a manner to deal with the Iranian nuclear weapons threat that threatens the security of the United States.

That’s why we’re going to war, ladies and gentlemen, because we have bought into the notion that Iran is a threat without question, without thinking. We just parrot back what’s told to us by our elected officials. We bought into the notion that Iran is a threat in the form of nuclear weapons, even though no evidence has been put forward by anybody to sustain this notion."

"...This war, ladies and gentlemen, has a good chance of beginning in 2007. What are you going to do, peace movement? What are you going to do? Sit back and go, ‘oh my God, this is too much to think about. I’m going to hit the delete button and pretend that Ritter never spoke.’ "

5. Wasn't this the guy who predicted that we'd invade last June?

6. Good point, I thought of that as well. But still worth reading.
We're hearing a great deal about Iran from the administration these days. Much, much more than before last June.

Ritter was right on the money regarding Iraq.

I think it's interesting that we have a report out saying that the troops are a thin green line, ready to snap.

I take that as a huge "no way" from some at the Pentagon to any Bush hopes for more war.
