4. frankly... i don't buy into the right wing meme.. this is the only
search engine that is fighting the Bush Regime.

naturally, the Bush regime is launching a campaign to vilify Google.

Trust NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING that the Bush regime comes out with vis a vis the FCMSM.

7. You take as much freedom as you can get
I think its better to have restricted access in China versus no access. Its a start. Freedom in China can cost someone their life.

12. Repression in China can cost someone (here) their livelihood
"Freedom in China can cost someone their life."

The "It's a start" idea is similar to the justifications for low wage slave labor in China: "It may be only a quarter per day but it's more than they had before."

celebrated, or at least acknowledge the Chinese New Year. Indeed, we have parades and events here in honor of the Chinese New Year...

Can you guess where Google is home based, and where the founders are from?

The Chinese New Year is an important part of our our culture here, the Chinese and Asian Community is quite large.

11. Gung hey fat choi!
or how ever it gets transliterated...Happy Chinese New Year, fellow Californian!

My Chinese New Year's story: Hubby & I were in Antwerp, Belgium, so I could do some research. We went out to eat and then realized it was Valentine's Day and the restaurants were full (apparently they celebrate it, too). So we wound up at a Chinese restaurant, and since they had all the New Year's decorations up, I wished the waiter "gung hey fat choi." He gave us the most peculiar look and asked where we were from, so I said the SF Bay Area, and then he smiled. We had really good service, and gave the locals culture shock when I ate with chopsticks. One table actually ordered crisps (french fries) with their food! I then learned that Belgians will eat crisps with anything.
