Ohio Complaint filed regarding Noe Funneling Money to Bush/Cheney Campaign
Investigators file election complaint against former Taft aide

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A former aide to Gov. Bob Taft is accused in a state complaint of illegally funneling money to Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas Moyer and two other Republican justices.

<snip>

The complaint is the first connecting Noe, under federal indictment accusing him of funneling donations through Talbott and others to President Bush, to allegations of doing the same for statewide candidates.

<snip>

Talbott was one of several people who testified before a federal grand jury last summer about Noe's involvement in a scheme to skirt federal campaign finance limits by funneling money to Bush's re-election campaign through friends and associates.

Talbott gave the Bush campaign $2,000 on Nov. 5, 2003, just days after a Columbus fundraiser Bush attended.

<snip>

An attorney for Noe has acknowledged that up to $13 million from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation's fund is unaccounted for, and Ohio's attorney general has accused him of stealing as much as $6 million. No charges have been filed in the case.

...more...

I guess the people of the US are footing not only the bills that these criminals are incurring, but the bill for their ascendence to the throne.

:grr:

1. I noticed Bob Bennett's name in the mix...

The three justices pulled the Talbott contributions from their accounts in November when Ohio GOP chairman Bob Bennett warned them of possible suspicious circumstances. The money was being held in an account for the state insurance fund for injured workers, which had hired Noe to invest money in coins.

Is that the 'morals' guy?... or his brother?
