The local rag is part of the Scaife chain. Local coverage is cursory at best. National and international coverage is newswire stuff. The op-ed pages turned severely RW in 2002. I hope it gets published, but I hope even more that it will provide some inspiration to those who haven't shared their views in a public forum.

Where's the real news?

I understand you need to make a buck, but what important information can you say you've given us over the last few years? We've got an administration that feels it can circumvent the law if it's inconveinient to there purposes. What have you had to say that kept us informed of he facts? The federal budget is growing by the day. The total national debt is not only at it's highest level, but the debt ceiling has been raised almost every year this andministration has run the country. Did I see any detailed breakdown on where that money was going? Not so much! A few weeks ago the county commisioners and Paula Pedicone decided to waste the taxpayers money on voting machines that will probably never live up to the sales hype and insert private interests in a public process. What did the Trib have to say? Not so much.

Give me a reason to drop two quarters for your broadsheet, tell me something I need to know and won't hear somewhere else.
