What makes a DINO?
This seems to be a popular word to throw around here at DU with some people everytime a Senator or House member takes a stand that they don't like. I've heard Lieberman, Feinstein, Landrieu, Pryor, both Nelsons, etc called DINO's.
My question is "What criterion are people using to determine who is a DINO and who isn't?"
Is it a one-or-two issue criterion? Any Dem who authorized the scrub-meiser to use force seems to incur this wrath, regardless of how they voted on issues related to the environment, choice, civil rights, etc.
Is it a multitude of issues criterion? Because if it is, every Democrat except for Nelson (D-NE) votes with the party about 80% of the time and on core issues only Landrieu and Nelson (D-NE) have voted with the pukes more than 30% of the time. Most Dems voted with the Party on core issues over 85% of the time. (This includes Lieberman and Feinstein)
So my question is...What makes a DINO a DINO?

Note: The sources for my numbers comes from a fellow DUer who did research on voting patterns of Senators last year. It was rather exhaustive. My other source comes from the Weasel awards, which bases its awards on what it determined are the key 50 issues.

1. The Working Definition, Sir
Seems to be an office=holder or member of this forum who does or says something that does not suit the member employing the term....

"On the whole, I'd rather be in Philadelphia."
