Win? Do you think Bush might have riged this thing. Like Last Nov.. ah never mind just one conspiricy theory for a post.
Think about this
Right after the elections everyone was saying hamas had a strong secound. Before the election they were saying hamas would get mabye a third. How do you go from that to 70%. Kind of like how do you go from 4 point down in exit polls to well never mind again I digress. And Sharon getting a stroke right before this whole thing. Lubricating a possible right victory in up coming Isriali election. Lots of dots out there I just cant connect them.

Aww where is my tin hat.

1. Like payback to the Saudis for their 9/11 adventures?
When it comes to Bush, I put nothing past him. Even looking at the freak makes me ill.

9. A talking head on one of the Sunday talk shows, said some interesting...
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 04:14 AM by TwoSparkles
...things.

I'm sorry I don't remember who said it, but I believe the person was on "This Week."

He mentioned that many people in Israel are VERY angry at the Americans for pushing this
election so quickly. This talking head said that he was in Israel, and that many
were unhappy with Americans for making this election happen when it did, and so hastily.

There are so many questions I have. For one---how is it that our country has so much
power that we can push people into having elections before they really want them to happen?
The second question is...WHY? Why would we be pushing for these elections to happen so
quickly? What was the hurry?

Something is really, really rotten in Denmark.

We benefit from chaos in the Middle East, that's for sure. Right now, the PNAC agenda needs as much Mid-East chaos as possible, because they need justification for additional warmongering. These guys are chomping at the bit to go into Iran.

I'm also wondering about Iran. I remember hearing that the radical who won was a total upset.
Were any somewhat-"modern" or progressive candidates running in Iran? Aren't 70 percent of Iranians very young people--under 30? Most of them want reform. How did this radical status-quo candidate
win, especially when he probably had little support from the majority? Just asking...

12. Hmmm, I think this is quite a stretch!
I'll buy off on the influence Shrub has in the US. I'll even agree that he could have gotten Blair to conspire with him, but to believe he has any influence in Palastine is over the edge.

13. I seriously doubt it.
The theocrats winning in Iraq, and now Hamas winning control of the PA has the bubbas that voted for * questioning whether spreading "deomocracy" is worth it!

I'm going to laugh my ass of when Hezbollah wins in a landslide when Lebanon holds their next elections!

16. Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood....

http://www.nizkor.org/hweb/orgs/american/adl/hamas/introduction.html

which has battled and successfully fought against communism, and also provides a convenient foil (not the tin kind) for American neocons. It is the alternative to the PLO, which has aligned itself with socialism:

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/Summaries/V68I4P38-1.htm

The ultimate goal of Hamas is to establish a caliphate. If you consider the caliphate to be headquarted in the spiritual center of Islam: Mecca, which is in Saudi Arabia, then it is not too off-the-wall to consider that the Saudi Royals might have something to do with running the caliphate. Also consider the relationship of the Bush family to the Saudis and the fact that the Kingdom Holding Company has bought into Disney (including ABC News), Time-Warner (including CNN), and Fox as well as Citibank.

Again, this is not tin foil stuff, its there for anyone to read about.

17. I've been having similar thoughts...
particularly after learning about another "we never anticipated this" moment from Rice. A lot of linkage b/t Hamas and Iran being discussed as well.

Of course, I don't stray far without my trusty :tinfoilhat: anymore.

19. I agree with you that neocons have no desire to see Israel safe
and back to the 1967 borders. But - no - don't think for a second they wanted to see democracy turn out Islamic & radical & fundie & suicide bombing.

I think they truly want to see Hamas come to the table and act as a civilian government rather than what the worst fears are.
