What News Do They Watch
Tonight my mother and I were driving to our home. My mom like to listen to talk radio; however, there is not way for us to get any liberal talk show. As a result we ended up listening to a Republican guy who turned out to be Matt Drudge. Before I realized who the guy was he was making a big deal about the Bob Woodruff story. He was trying to claim that ABC was over stating Woodruff's wounds. He was also pushing the idea that ABC was not telling people everything about the incident. Finally, he tried to claim that the "liberal" media would use this incident to criticize the war by claiming that Woodruff's injury proves that we are losing the war.

This was shocking to me in that I had watched news on ABC channels twice today. Once in the morning where I first hear the story about Woodruff and then the Nightly News. Neither channel tried to make out like Woofruff's incident was a sign that American was losing the Iraq War. The Nightly News broadcast went as far as to say that Woodruff knew the dangers of the assignment, knew what could happen to him, and choose to go to Iraq. In addition, Nightly News pointed out that Woodruff was standing in the back of the vehicle he was riding in and that the vehicle was not American.

So, when people like Drudge say the things they say and I have watched the news and did not see what they saw I wonder what news are they watching. Is Drudge just saying this stuff because he knows his listeners will not go and check for themselves if the media is actually treating the story the way he claimed?

1. The answer to your question is YES!

That's exactly why Drudge, Limpballs, Hannity, etc say the things they do. Their followers believe THEM before they believe anything they accidentaly hear on the MSM. If they do hear criticism of their adored braggers, they chalk it up to BASHING by the damn liberals again!
