Whole lot of livin' goin' on if Alito gets on court. |
|
You can forget Schiavo, Cruzan, etc.
Count on the fact that this has been targeted and once the religious right gets the right case up to the Supreme Court, you're going to live. As long as they can mechanically force your heart to pump or your lungs to breath you're going to live.
Extreme pain? That's no excuse and with doctors fearful of issuing pain relieving drugs you're going to feel every bit of it.
Leave an inheritance for your kids? Only if you die suddenly and unexpectedly.

1. Alito-mania will engulf the religious right |
|
just as soon as Scalito is confirmed. The RW orgs and faith-based groups all over the US have had state legislature bills quietly waiting for "THE day." Watch for a landslide of anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-anything progressive, especially from red states such as my own - GOP wingnuts abound. The clock will turn back even faster and farther I'm afraid. All with Shrubbie's blessing. UNLESS - miraculously the filibuster succeeds (I'm a-prayin').

And I wont take it out on the Dem party if Alito get's on the court. Ill take it out the people who didn't vote for Senator Kerry. George Bush doesn't care about disabled people. He himself said that embryos were more important than us. Damn were so close with stem cell research. Damn it all.

6. Senator Brownback thinks the most Vulnerable |
|
in America are the embryos. Some day when he becomes disabled, perhaps he will realize who the real vulnerable are in our country. But by then what kind of country will we be??? At least you and I know we tried to prevent what is coming. For what that's worth.
