Perfectly Succinct Freeper Response to ABC Newsmen' s Injuries:
I bet that the LSM would barely make mention if it had been someone like Britt Hume or Ollie North.

This may be cold blooded but, too bad it couldn't have been Rather and Cronkite.

3. This may be cold-blooded . . .
but . . . since we're the party of torture, and we worship Ann Coulter, we'll go ahead and wish bodily harm on a couple of old men anyway.

5. Correct if I'm wrong: Rather & Cronkite both reported from war zones
(Vietnma and WWII). I remember watching Cronkite's nightly news reports in 1969. Every night he would report on the number of troops killed in Vietnam. Didn't Cronkite report from the European theater during WWII?

Oliver North is a convicted criminal and a traitor. Brit Hume is a major league asshat. I'll bet that he never served in the armed forces or was a war reporter.

10. Cronkite was one of "Murrow's Boys" during WWII.
I think they mostly broadcast from London.

6. At least Rather and Cronkite bothered to show up in Vietnam, unlike
that cowardly fuckknob George "I'm a cheerleader!" Boosh.

8. Someone like Brit Hume would never agree to go to a place like Iraq...
...in the first place. Sort of like how he got out of going to Vietnam back in THAT era.

12. Exactly
If he did he'd have a dozen troopers surrounding him to protect him and stay in the safe area.

9. What amazes me is how they complain about the "Liberal Media" but fight
the "fairness doctrine". Just ask the next person who complains about the "Liberal Media" why they are not insisting that the "Fairness Doctrine" be restored. They get this really blank look on their face and don't know how to respond...

11. I Don't Disagree With Him
If I read his posting correctly his point is that the press is often more interested in self than portrail of news that just might be of interest to someone other than the news orginization or the newsperson.

How many times have you watched the tube and asked yourself who on earth gives a royal shit about what they are reporting on or even the aspect of the story they seem to have fixiated on? Dam near every time, that's how often. This guy seems to feel the same way.
