Bush is appealing to those who harbor greater anti-black prejudice.
Who would have thought, the Bushies are supported by racists whites.

----------------------------

But districts that registered higher levels of bias systematically produced more votes for Bush.

"Obviously, such research does not speak at all to the question of the prejudice level of the president," said Banaji, "but it does show that George W. Bush is appealing as a leader to those Americans who harbor greater anti-black prejudice."

Vincent Hutchings, a political scientist at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, said the results matched his own findings in a study he conducted ahead of the 2000 presidential election: Volunteers shown visual images of blacks in contexts that implied they were getting welfare benefits were far more receptive to Republican political ads decrying government waste than volunteers shown ads with the same message but without images of black people.

1. The only surprise here will be to see the spin the repukes give it.

2. But notice how, despite the recurring, relentless evidence
That the researchers decline to state whether general GOP prejudice ever translates to individual bigotry. A person isn't attracted to something they loathe; it's fair to impute to Bush personally the bigotry that's so obvious in his party. His actions surely don't show him to be any kind of nemesis to prejudice.

4. Been this way since 1964 Civil Rights Act
It was that year that the Dixiecrats bolted the Democratic party and joined the repukes, who welcomed them with open arms. That was also the year that my mother, a life long Republican, became an independent.

5. Whats so hidden about this? Its a well known, little
talked about side of the repukes and the christen right wings agendas. It all boils down to race, ask any born again and you'll see where they stand when it comes to their children marrying a black. Ask any born again who gets welfare blacks or whites, even though its proven fact that whites were the majority of those on welfare, the born agains will say its black people who are on welfare driving caddies.

7. RACE is the secret underlying FEAR, not terra

The only reason that the terra comes into play is because it keeps the "Brownies" like me in their place.

It is 90% race and it may be 98% about race.

It's not so much about keeping the Poor down. they really aren't trying to hurt the white coal miners in West Virginia but their greed is so over the top that the Miners
( who probably all voted for GWB) are just caught up in the sweep.

Bet the Mining families in West Virginia would STILL vote for GWB.

It makes no sense to me.

8. This isn't about sense, its about life long hates of
anyone that looks different then they do. Even though they are more alike to poor blacks poor whites think because of the rich white elitists that they look like they are supposed to get better treatment even though they are poor. In most of their small little minds, if they can over turn the civil rights act of 1964 things will be so much better for them. The rich white repukes out there have been playing the race card every since 1964 as a way to split the democratic party. Its worked very well as you can see now that all poor and not just black poor are hurting. What they hope for is to put blacks back in as the under dog they can look down on once again.

6. This just in from "stating the obvious"
I guess the next studies will show that the sky is still blue and that water is still wet...
