8. A shift to Euros in oil market devaluing the US dollar...
""A shift away from U.S. dollars to euros in the oil market would cause the demand for petrodollars to drop, perhaps causing the value of the dollar to plummet. Russia, Venezuela and some members of OPEC have expressed interest in moving towards a petroeuro system. And it isn't entirely implausible that China, which is the world's second largest holder of U.S. currency reserves, might eventually follow suit. Barring a U.S. attack, it appears imminent that Iran's euro-dominated oil bourse will open in March 2006. Logically, the most appropriate U.S. strategy is compromise with the EU and OPEC towards a dual-currency system for international oil trades""

could actually stimulate job creation in the US manufacturing sectors. This isn't exactly bad news and is a double edged sword should the Iranian system gain favor.

Outsourced US jobs could then return and long distance supply-chains, a la Wal-Mart, would be damaged immensely.

10. Send them an e-mail.
They do a good job of getting this information out there. I wouldn't see the harm in sending an e-mail with a recommendation.

12. I agree Mabus.
Hell, the threads I've started on Global Warming have sunk here on DU, I can't imagine the rest of the world being any more caring than we are.

13. I've read a lot of them
from you and others. You can usually tell that I've seen a thread on global warming because I'm the one who votes to recommend it.
