Just had a flashback: "Compassionate Conservative" |
|
Remember that one? Whatever happened to that? Even POS Bush and company don't have the nerve to call themselves that with a straight face anymore.
Reminds me of back in 2000 when I actually fell for it - I actually thought this POS was some kind of moderate and voted for Nader as a protest against Clinton/Gore's repug-lite policies, because I just assumed that the American people had a brain and that Gore would win by a landslide. ( and I was living in Florida at the time - I will never live that vote down.)
So anyway, what the hell ever happened to "compassionate conservative"?
Here's another knee-slapper: "I'm a uniter not a divider"
  :grr:

1. I thought Bush was too much of a filure, an idiot, and an all-around joke |
|
to actually win.
Boy, you put your trust in the American people just once, and you pay for it the rest of your life.
Granted, I still voted for Gore, but I just thought that there would be no way in hell enough people would vote for Bush, that dry-drunk, drugged up, fratboy elitist moron, to even have the election be close...
