Concerning the new Al-Zawahiri "terror tape".

I think that Bushco is releasing these to undermine any descent in the country about Bush's abysmal policies. About %50+ people agree with Al-Zawahiri's assessment of Bush being a "failure" and a "loser". Bush releasing these at the most opportune times allows him to equate his detractors with terrorist. And they are always released at the most convenient times usually right before they are about make an announcement on foreign policy or right before an election. The tapes are released and the media spin machines get to work telling us how frightened the American public should be. Why don't these tapes stand up as a testament to the failure that is Bush's foreign policy and the Bush administration as a whole? I think the tapes are a complete fabrication on the part of the Bush administration.

6. People Are Looking At ALL Politicians as lame and losers

Look at all the fighting here going on about Democrats who won't fight Alito or aren't "Progressive" or "Liberal" or whatever. There's a general disgust with all things political settling over this nation that can easily manifest into apathy if national Democrats continue to look unoriganized and weak. Expecting to retake the House by default is a losing strategy and allows Rove (or whomever) to ram the "fear" card up the Democrat's butts again.

Again, I haven't seen the source of the tape...the format or anything more than what the corporate media is portraying. With such little credibility, anything is possible as this regime has manipulated CNN and others before to generate a diversion or ratchet up the fear factor. Other than the networks claiming these tapes were "released" to a third party, we have no idea of if they were really delivered by Al Queda or Officer Mike.
