1. What are we going to do?

I guess many of us are facing that question again: Do we keep trying to change the party from within or do we try to create our own party? Either way it's not going to be easy. The people on your list probably get big money to go Republican Lite. Why should they listen to the constituents?

Also, the voting machines may work in their favor as well as in the favor of the Republicans.

Personally, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I need some time to think.

One thing is true. Some of the Dems did stand up for us today. I'm getting so jaded that I wonder if this is just part of the show to make us think we're represented when we aren't. I guess I have to go on believing that some of those filibustering Dems really do care about us. I'm just not sure what they (and we) should do about the Dems who don't.

Watching the chuminess in the Senate between them makes it look like it is all a game to them.

I don't trust too many politicians anymore.

My wife's Uncle was a congressman in Oklahoma who went from Democrat, left congress, ran as an independent for Governor, then when he lost, he ran as a congressman again as a Republican, why? Not for his constituents, no, it was to get his time in to get his pension there!!!!!

Our founding fathers never meant for government to be run this way.

We're going to be looking at alitos face for decades after W is dust and the people finally realize that the chimp is the worst president in the history of the United States. Alito will be shitheads legacy. Most likely, alito will be steering the United States in the direction of religious fanaticism long after I am dead.
