I miss Ron Reagan Jr!
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 06:47 PM by durrrty libby
Was watching C Matthews. He had Nora O, Carlton T, and Ron on, discussing tomorrow night’s fairy tale.

CM asked what people want to hear about? Healthcare, War from the 2 toadies, then Ron said they want to hear about reality, which they won’t, and most Americans won’t believe a word W says anyway. He also mentioned W was a crappy speaker. HA!

Ol CM was not pleased

Edited to add JR...

16. Is he still announcing the Eukanuba dog shows on Animal Planet?
I thought I heard him the other night, but maybe it was just another announcer who sounds like him.

(no pun intended)when he works at the dog shows.

3. His father was an evil slimeball
Not as evil at the current bunch, I tend to agree. But still too evil to be missed.

21. Reagan was a better sociopath
Reagan is to Bush what Ted Bundy is to Wayne Gacy. That's all.

11. He doesn't want to be in politics, unfortunately.
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2003/04/14/ron_reagan/

His father entered politics at a relatively late stage in his life, after careers as a sports broadcaster, actor and General Electric pitchman. Has Reagan ever considered running for office? No, he insists, "I have no political ambitions. For one thing, I'm not interested in raising all that money. It's just not the life I want to lead. When is the last time you heard a politician speak his mind? McCain? Yes, he came close. But I once asked him at a Creative Coalition meeting, 'You talk passionately about this nexus of money and influence that is corrupting our democracy. Why don't you name names?' His response was a demurral.

"I have no problem with public service. And yes, better people should be running for office. But personally I just can't see myself doing it, to live in Washington D.C., the whole package. I was immersed in that my whole life. I saw politicians up close and there were so many who just repulsed me."

17. Now, there's an honest man. My father was in politics, too -- and
I made up my mind not to get involved as a candidate. I have been deeply involved as a supporter of a variety of Democratic people and causes.

20. I wish he'd run for president.
He'd probably get in just on name recognition. Somebody with the values of a progressive and the appeal of the Gipper. I could definitely go for that.
