Christian Amanpour is RIPPING on Little Lord Pissypants regime
Iraq war is a disaster.
Rumsfeld lied.
Bush lied.
Reporters have to be close to Iraq action to expose the LIES of King George's court.

1. Yes she is. What a splendid reporter. I'd love to hear her interview
Dubya. I'd cancel an entire evening's schedule to listen to that.

4. I don't do SuperBowl parties. But an Amanpour/Bush interview would surely
... get one going at my place.

5. Alright! Good plan. I'll bring the potato chips and beer for after the
interview.

It would be really refreshing to have someone at her level of depth and analysis interview the vacuous George W. Bush.

...the gentler, kinder fascism, that is.

Stay informed. Stay outraged. We are NOT helpless, we just haven't figured out how to help ourselves.

3. Wow, what the hell is going on at CNN?
Did the Woodruff story actually shake up some of the shills? This segment is stunning. But Larry's usual viewers tuned out a while ago, since there were no Wynona Judd interviews or anything.

6. I was half listening to Larry King, but we need to give that young
blond female reporter credit too on answering why they report more about a reporter getting hurt than the soldiers. She and Christian both spoke up and said the government doesn't want them to report any bad news. I'm so proud of those female reporters. Mark my words, it will be a female that brings down Bushco and I'm hoping it turns out to be Sibel Edmonds.

24. Here is that great snippet
<snip>
AMANPOUR: Well, I think it's an incredibly good question. The caller is absolutely right. And, as Bob Schieffer has just said, of course we focus on very well known people and members of our own community. But the reason that the deaths and injuries of the American soldiers don't get as much publicity is because we are by and large banned from seeing it.

The United States government has made a decision that we are not allowed to see the coffins, that we're not allowed to see the burials, that we're generally not allowed to go to any of the areas where there are wounded, U.S. military hospitals. Perhaps you can see a little bit more in Landstuhl in Germany. Perhaps when we go to the hospitals in the United States. But it's very, very difficult to get close to that kind of real tragedy that the American servicemen and women are going through as well.

KING: Why, Lara, can't you see them?

LOGAN: Well, I just want to say that Christiane is absolutely right, and on top of that there's a real irony in that caller's question. Because it's the military themselves that pressure us not to keep reporting the deaths of soldiers, not to focus on the deaths of soldiers and Iraqis ever single day in this conflict. They tell us you don't tell the good news, you don't show the schools that are opening, you don't do this, you don't do that, why are you always focusing on the death? And you try and say to them, it's because as a reporter I just feel like every time somebody else dies, I have a responsibility to make sure that death wasn't in vain. That somehow, in some way, it's acknowledged.

10. I'm just re-watching this show, and Christian Amanpour
is AWESOME. As a viewer, I get the feeling, she's had
enough of the bull. Great job Christian. You have given
me a flicker, just a flicker of hope that maybe, maybe,
just maybe, the media is not totally lost.

When she boldly stated that they were prohibited from
showing coffins, death of soldiers etc...then it ended with
Larry King saying that maybe the "caller should take her question up
with the Pentagon" ..(her question being why focusing on the death
of reporter versus the death of so many soldiers)...

18. Is there anyone in America who doesn't already know about lies?
That is what is killing me. We all know he lied. There is no doubt. Kids have died for this lies. Yet, not enough people are willing to do something about it and throw this piece of garbage out of office.
