A man with Ideas, I think the Dem's should just rebroadcast his speech from today as a rebuttal to shitheads SOTU address.

An excellent, brilliant speech. This, not some drivel from some Vichy Democrat from the DLC, should be the response to the Chimperor's bullshit.

3. He doesn't use a teleprompter, notes, and never uses the phrase |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 12:48 AM by NCarolinawoman
"YOU KNOW". Don't most speakers put in "YOU KNOW" when they speak? Sort of a way of stalling to get their thoughts together.
Of course "W" says "uh uh uh uh".
No way will I be able to watch "W"'s speech tomorrow. Not after watching Wesley Clark's speech. Not after hearing about "green technology for energy independence, and producing a form of energy that won't harm our fragile earth."

4. He said right at the beginning that he was using a teleprompter. |
|
But even so, he speaks so clearly and fluently it seemed like he wasn't. The comparison with president Dumbass -- well, you can't compare them. It's like comparing Mozart with Milli Vanilli.
You couldn't make me watch the SOTU. It's just too depressing, knowing that pinhead is squattiing in our White House.

....Damn! and we had to have Chimp face as a President talking tomorrow instead of a progressive, calm and intelligent man like Wes Clark.
How utterly depressing!
The United States ain't worth "shit" anymore! November 2006 can't come soon enough for me.....that's for sho'!

He knows where he has been, he knows where he is going. I am really starting to take another look at Clark. Someone called in to the Ed Schultz show today. He said after Kennedy, parents stopped raising their children to become presidents. The ones that stand out are Rhodes Scholars like Bill Clinton and Wesley Clark. I can't recall the rest but he was very adamant that Clark is the way to go.

WILL BE? Non?
My motto, when I'm depressed as hell....."What the mind can conceive....can and shall be achieved!"
Wes Clark gives me just a little bit more hope that by the end of 2006, the nightmare will begin to fade away, starting with an independent counsel to investigate all of the administration shenadigans to date.
Wouldn't that be something! :patriot:

VISION LEADERSHIP
The Future Depends On It
"Just when the world is being dragged into the death spiral of an unending cycle of violence by a vision-less, coldblooded collection of think-tank warriors goose-stepping their way into the new millennium with a stunning lack of respect for human rights, the environment, or international law, along comes a man with the proven credentials of intelligence, integrity, and courage singularly equipped by his spirit and experience to lead us out of this mess. Don't listen to what the lying liars say about him; listen to what he says. Wesley Clark is a prayer answered." Kris Kristofferson

22. Here's a link to the transcript. |
|
http://securingamerica.com/node/560I would keep checking back there to see when the put up an audio or video link. Hopefully there will also be a C-Span link up at some point. It will certainly be posted on this forum http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=235 when it becomes available.

I almost can't watch him anymore. It's a painful reminder of how mixed up this country is when somebody as virtuous as Clark is torpedoed without mercy and a complete fool gets a free ride to the White House.

i would bet Clark's is going to be a lot better than whatever Kaine gives. but i am willing to give Kaine a chance and i do hope i'm wrong. i wont watch the Chimp but i will watch Kaine.
Clark was my choice to give the SOTU Dem response.

25. He really is just awesome! |

I know, I know... I am a big Wes Clark fan, I admit it. But, that speech was just so unbelieveably amazing, it knocked my socks off. If only more Americans could get to "know" him, and know what he thinks and how he feels about ALL SORTS OF ISSUES, there would just be no doubt in anyone's mind about his ability to turn this country around 180 degrees on a dime.
So, yes, Wes Clark rocks! But, more than that he tells the truth. And he does it with strength and gravitas and passion... something Gore gets a lot of kudos for around here.
Gotta love Wes. He's a oner!
