If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face
....forever.
--George Orwell.

For those of you that have long suspected that The Bush Administration's playbook is "1984" (war is peace, etc), meditate on the above quote for a while.

2. Good luck. We The People are now barefoot. The Executive, Courts
and rubber-stamp lapdog Congress have the boots. The multinational corporations, mainstream media and 100 richest US families have the boots.

3. A designer cowboy boot...
...with really gaudy embroidery on it and that was never actually used for an honest day's work on a real ranch.

5. In the end, the boot gets worn out and the wearer dies.
Nothing is forever. Except, resistance of the human spirit.

Empires come and go.

6. I don't have 100 years to wait for my life, and lives of my kids to be
"normal" i.e. not under a neochristo-corporo-fascist regime.

Yes, every empire falls, this too shall pass, etc. But what if you can blame PERMANENT unfixable damage on the greed/ignorance/rapture-readiness of the regime (global warming, genetic polution, etc.)? That shit is forever.

the graves and debris of those who came close to bringing ruin to the nation and the world.

We're not the only opposition to BushCo, or even the most effective. Who insisted that Comey unleash Fitzgerald and McNulty? Do you really think that was Ashcroft's idea?
