We are the minority but that doesn't mean we are wrong...
We were the 10% that attempted to tell people the Iraq war was wrong. It was based on lies. But about 90% agreed with the war. But that was then and this is now. Only time knows the real truth.

But, just because we failed in convincing our own Senators about the wrong-headedness of their vote for Alito, that does not mean we were wrong. Time will show that were right on this call also, in my opinion. But, like the old Indian saying, you cannot step in the same stream twice. We cannot go back and change what has been done.

We are out of the mainstream of the moment. However, we must continue to fight for what we believe is right and true. I do believe truth is on our side.

1. The patriotic Americans who founded this nation were a minority.
Something to chew on when we are feeling down.

2. I don't think we are that far out of the mainstream
We aren't the middle of it, perhaps, but we are no further out than President Bush and his cronies (who are really quite extreme). We just need to do better at showing how President Bush's values aren ot the same as other Americans.

5. But we are in the majority of the minority --
let's not forget, in our wrath, that 24 (+1) voted against cloture, and 18 voted for. Those 18 are the ones out of the mainstream of Democratic thought. Let's let them know that.
